Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

amarjunchu That Mr Miyagi guy is really something. He is my fav character and this one is about him and his awesomeness. And just for that this is a worthy follow up to the first one. You get to know about Miyagi's Past and you also get a nice continuation of the story.

sanctumlcie Its not like me to write a review but for this absolute classic I thought it would be necessary. For a long time this was my least favourite of the 3 films starring Daniel and Miyagi, but for quite some time it has been not just my favourite of the trilogy but my favourite film of all time, I love the setting, the story, the character development and especially to two main antagonists, Sato and Chozen. I believe you will find the trilogy much more enjoyable if you watch them in the order 1,3,2 rather than 1,2,3 as this film gives such a bigger send off than the third one ever did, the stakes are much higher in this one and the lessons learned are much more meaningful. I'm glad that I gave this one a chance because I didn't realise what I was missing, the soundtrack is something to behold. It's simply stunning, especially during Miyagis fathers funeral and Kumikos ritual dance at the end. Such a beautiful movie that should be watched by people of all ages. A story of redemption, love, forgiveness and empathy, a true classic. 10/10

generationofswine The location is exotic.The characters are beloved.But that is kind of where it ends. It is beautiful and has a nice appeal because of the backdrop and the characters but...The story you sort of fall asleep in the middle of, the mind starts to wander and all real focus is lost. Something about Rocking Around the Clock and Fighting for your Honor and....yeah...I give up.It is miles above the third one and the main characters can both act...the director can direct...the problem is that the writers can't write.

Minahzur Rahman The Karate Kid Part II is an okay sequel. Despite the very weak story I still found it a good movie to watch. The story is basically about Mr Miyagi (Pat Morita) who has received news that his father is seriously ill and decides to set off home to Japan and visit him whilst being accompanied by his student Daniel (Ralph Macchio). But things suddenly turn turmoil once they arrive there with Mr Miyagi (Pat Morita) facing his old rival and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) having a new enemy. Like I said, The Karate Kid Part II is an okay film but a pity just how terrible the story is. Pretty lame to put it and with a better story the film would've been very good. Another downfall of this film was that there wasn't much fighting (Karate) that you would've been expecting to see. Acting from some of the cast especially by Mr Miyagi rival that played Sato was very poor. The thing that was good about this film or what I've certainly found good was that the story was set in Japan and more about the character Mr Miyagi this time. This film is vastly different from the first one which was set in America and about Daniel so it was good to see something different of the Karate Kid saga.So Karate Kid Part II is not a great film but neither terrible. Its one of those films which you will either like or dislike and I personally liked it despite some of its flaws.
