OllieSuave-007 This was a nicely-done TV movie about a family whom, after moving into a duplex, experiences terrifying paranormal activities. While ghost movies featuring haunted houses are a dime a dozen, this TV movie actually captures the tension and suspense that steadily built up to terrifying thrills as the movie progresses - from the female lead being the only one hearing noises to the entire family experiencing Poltergeist-like events. The movie also uniquely touches different aspects surrounding the paranormal experience, from psychology to faith, and from the annoying press to full-fledged exorcism. Overall, a well done TV movie with decent acting.Grade A
atinder I didn't even know about this until early this afternoon, Custor told me at work about this movie on youtube that scared him. While I did my work at work and had time watch this movie on youtube, The movies start with saying it was bad on true story and few things have change in the movie. A family moving into home and it dose not take long for mother/wife he first to feel or see stranger things in the house but of course no one believes. Soon other stranger think happen to other members of the family and I DO! mean very stranger things, that may make you laugh, I sure laughed some of the spooky going on's Like the ghost talking form Pillow, Yes, pillow whispering and this movies as one the stranger man-rape scenes very, it was really well flashy scene in a odd way. I felt some of script was very weak in early part of the movie and it kinda of felt, we seen all before and done better in other movies. This movie is worth watching but I didn't really find all that creepy or even that scary I give this movie 4 out of 10
Son_of_Mansfield A religious family moves into a new house and the mother is almost immediately attacked by a spirit in the house. Nobody believes her until other members of her family start seeing things too. Setting aside the fact that this is based on a "true story", the script, actors, and direction are all terrible. It could've easily been a Roger Corman movie from the 50's. There are cheap musical cues for the standard scares, horrendous overacting, and, as with many book adaptations, unnecessary narration. It's very sad when something happens and then the narration tells you what just happened or when the same bad scare, the so called, "demon rape", is used over and over. Then, there is all the supposed solution to all problems, prayer. Riiight. But, shockingly, that doesn't work. So, what do you do when you have tried religion and it can't get rid of that pesky ghost problem, who do you call? The media. Sure, sharp choice, if you want to be labeled a wacko. So, how do you get rid of the media which is now camped on your front yard, threaten them with a shot gun. I could do this all day. Ghosts may or may not exist, but one thing is for sure: bad movies do. Please, believe me.
zoechris2402 this film really scared me the horrors that come out today are to Hollywood this was real and gritty i liked the way the film was made it made it feel more real the parts that scared me the most were the voices that janet heard the rape scene and of course the scene when the smurl family had gone on there camping trip and the neighbours saw the all the activity in the house the banging the screaming the strange lights its like nothing I've ever seen before. i have tried for a long time to get a copy of this film without any luck if any body knows where i can get a copy please can you let me know. i just hope Hollywood doesn't get its hands on and try to remake it
