Michael is a widower who is struggling to adjust to his new role as the sole caretaker of his two children. Still reeling from the death of his wife, he has been plagued by terrifying apparitions. When he volunteers at a local literary festival, he finds himself drawn to Lena, an empathetic author of supernatural fiction. While Lena tries to help Michael with the mystery of his nightmarish visions, she must contend with problems of her own, as she’s being jealously pursued by self-obsessed novelist Nicholas, her one-time lover. As the festival progresses, the three adults’ lives converge and collide.

Reviews
NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Chris Hornberger It was an hour and a half of disjointed, disconnected, lazy, poorly executed backdrop vignettes that were glued together like a preschooler with two broken arms who was blinded in an unfortunate puppy mill accident during a freak blizzard in April, somewhere in Northwestern PA. On a Tuesday. The acting was wooden and trite. The story was so empty, it might as well have been a trough holding an ounce of water. The "events" in the movie were not explained at all. The ghosts made no sense. The emerging love story was empty and felt forced. The protagonist had absolutely no fleshing out in the story; why was he so involved in driving these people around when he had a day job, a family and a home to look after. Nothing about this movie made any sense. $.02
staciarose20 This movie may move too slow for some people who are used to modern horror movies where everything is constant gore or sex. The Eclipse is more true to an actually book story being told. I liked the setting and the scenery. I liked the characters..except Aidan Quinn's, and that's just natural because he's annoying. The older man popping up out of nowhere actually is scary because the music that goes along with the scene is so tranquil up until that point. I was watching it in the dark, but even in the light the scenes like that will catch you off guard. Overall this was a good story and plot. His deceased wife coming back at the end to see him was emotionally real and thoughtful.
JenEvans1 This is possibly the worst film that I have ever seen! I only watched it because with a 6.6 rating, I thought it might have something to recommend it. How wrong I was! The acting was wooden, the plot could have been written by a four year old and I have to admit that I didn't even understand what was going on for most of the film. (Although I did drop off to sleep once so that may have been my own fault...) Honestly, I kept on watching because I thought that maybe something would happen (but nothing did!). It was dire, it was dreadful, it was an appalling waste of time and if anyone out there is unsure whether or not to see it my advice is don't even think about it.
Rob-O-Cop this movie may have had a point but it was so badly made it was lost on me. It didn't help that the story was all over the show. I have no idea what Adian Quinns part in all this was but he was an unappealing character drawn in cliché lines. Iben Hjejle's character was sort of interesting or heading towards it but never got there but at least she elicited more connection than Ciarán Hinds character who I really couldn't care less about. There were a couple of good scary moments in this film, but they were for absolutely no reason. Mybe the point of this movie was pointlessness, but that's not really a movie I want to spend time or money watching. Its one saving grace was its beautiful location and cinematography, which absolutely do NOT make a worthwhile watch.
