This movie, Thangamagan is an okay film with a bit of humour and action. The hero (Dhanush) struggles to find the money which his father has given to his nephew. It clearly projects the life of a South- Indian middle-class family. It casts 2 heroines, one is Amy Jackson and the other is Samantha (perhaps another heroine Radhika). Anirudh's music is soothing. The story is quite fascinating and pleasing. Definitely this is a watchable movie, but try only if you have time in your hand. Twists in the movie are unpredictable and are thus unavoidable. Good story, good screenplay, good music and good cast.Bottomline: Can watch it for fun, do not expect too much of fun.

As the name only indicates that "GOLDEN SON ", the film is a love ,romantic, comedy & of course family entertainer. The first half of the film is based on comedy of Dhanush & his friends. The 1st half is of Dhanush & Amy Jackson's love. Then before interval only the break up happens.Then Dhanush marries a girl (Samantha) as arranged marriage.The film interval happens as Dhanush father suicide himself by hangover. Then the 2nd half is mainly based on that why Hero's father committed suicide abruptly.Finally Hero came to know that his one of best friend is the reason for his father's suicide.Then how Dhanush tackles situations must be seen on screen only.......ENJOY.

The Film was to be awkward on some sense like the romanticism and the fight between two lovers, Dhanush and Amy. The pair of Dhanush and Samantha rocked together leaving the film's story without going out of the line. The Special kind of acting by Dhanush made it all, it was to be that the film started wit the crying, sad mood but came with jokes all over the film like spread. Also it will/ it may make many people realize about the real effects of having money and trusting someone. The Special Congrats to the Director- R. Velraj for making the film wonderful. A theme song of the film also made it wonderful to watch and feel which was done by the Anirudh Ravichander Team. Songs all in all superb coloring it. Me, as a teenager has all this to say, I also feel this would be the review done by others in my age. Actually my first review. The Photography work simply Superb... I wish the team of this film to make films like this for the Tamil Industry to increase the level of the industry. With no special aim, the film turned out to be just great, Just great in the sense all in all watchable movie with family, friends and cousins.7 stars.. Average.
