Reviews
ChikPapa Very disappointed :(
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
LigerTamer100 I may like love stories, but some of the ones I've seen are pretty cliché. But this one is different. Instead of a man seeing a woman walking down a street or working at a store, it's a man working as a janitor at a looney place and safe a woman's life from a creep and the woman followed him but never been on the outside world. When I watched it for the first time, I couldn't stop laughing and loving this brilliant movie. I love how when they continue their journey on the road they ended up falling in love with each other and called themselves a couple. If you want a different love story, this might be the one for you to watch and love.
seronjaa-797-313124 When I read, that the movie is about a mental patient, I thought it would be a lot more serious and difficult to watch. But instead we got a feel good butterfly romance with road trip and happy end. As a romantic comedy, it's really heartwarming and relaxing. But the way mental patients are portrayed is nowhere near reality. Even if she isn't schizophrenic and has just some post-traumatic stress, I don't think she would behave like a new born puppy all the time. Besieds that, the whole movie was very enjoyable to watch and I would probably watch the original German version, too. The plot idea is more original than from most other romantic movies, so that's something.
kosmasp You cannot be more down to earth than having no shoes and socks on. Barefoot is being risky, because you're expose yourself to getting hurt (a lot). But it also means you feel things on a different level, you probably enjoy things more than others, since you are more connected to things and letting them in.Evan Rachel Woods is terrific in playing the innocent, quirky character in this one. And she kind of steals the show, though Scott Speedman is our central character, who's the one learning life lessons and not the other way around. Even though this is predictable, you root for things to happen and cannot help but feel elevated at times or being sad with the characters too. The connection is there, if you allow it to happen
P B After watching this 2014's title for a couple of minutes, I recognized the German original Barfuss (eng. Barefoot) movie from 2005. And, yep, like I always do... I gave it a chance... But that's just a totally awful movie! Period.Til Schweiger's Barfuss is brilliant. And I'm sorry for the story writer, Stephen Zotnowski, for falling that low with this one. Why would you do that anyway?!?!?!?!American remakes tend to be way worse than the originals. This one is has a screaming sign on it, saying: stop remaking, be original, or popularize European (Japanese, ...) filmmakers instead.
