That was an excellent one.

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

All I knew about "Static" prior to sitting down to watch it was that it was a horror movie. I didn't know who was starring in it, nor did I know what the plot of the movie was. A life-long fan of the horror genre, I needed little encouragement to sit down to watch "Static".This was one of the most dull, boring and slow paced movies that I have seen in a long, long time. Actually, the storyline was so unfathomably boring and pointless that it was a serious struggle to keep my attention span on the movie. I was tempted to give up numerous times along the way. And at the 51 minute marker into the movie, then I had enough and tossed the towel in the ring. The movie was so pointless and completely boring; a waste of time actually comes to mind if having to describe it.So very little happened throughout the 51 minutes of the ordeal that I managed to sit through. The characters in "Static" were every bit as the title of the movie; static. They were lacking depth and proper personalities. And it was characters that were generic and cardboard cut-outs essentially, and you just don't connect with the characters at any time throughout the course of the movie. It should be said that the acting performances were actually adequate, although the actors and actresses had nothing, absolutely nothing to work with in terms of storyline, script and direction.Along with a very ridiculous story, then the bogeymen that made their appearances in the house were just laughable and proved to be as far from scary or menacing as they could have been. So it just didn't work for setting the mood of the movie. You just couldn't take them seriously.I have no intention of returning to finish watching "Static", because it just isn't worth the time or effort. Actually, watching actual static on the screen might have proved to be more entertaining that what director Todd Levin presented with this 2012 horror movie.

Attempting to get over a personal tragedy, a man and his wife find a young woman on their doorstep trying to escape from a gang of attackers who break into their home and force them to battle off the group in order to escape.Overall this one was pretty enjoyable if slightly flawed. Among it's better qualities is the fact that the second half to this one here doesn't really feel connected to the first half here which is for the better since that is a completely uninteresting movie. The second half is a solid series of chases and encounters throughout the house and the different neighboring parts of land which make for some thrilling times here with the film really getting quite enjoyable when it goes for these chases and stalking as that's all memorable and enjoyable. The first several encounters in the house and the later hide-out in the bedroom are great fun with these really piling on the different types of gun to be had with the home-invasion storyline here that really lets this one get some tense, chilling set-pieces up as well as put some energy into the film that has been missing up until then as there's the fine finale that makes for quite an amazing time here with the barn-yard stalking and the revelations in the house next door all come together to deliver a rather nice twist-ending that's quite enjoyable overall. Still, this one here is still held-down by a series of flaws here, all mainly set up from the outset of this one tending to focus more on the drama of a parents still in blame with themselves over the death of their son. This here tends to really bring up a large portion of time on having the two of them take forever in dealing with their conversations and lifestyle in trying to get over the event and re-start their life together, all of which tends to really focus this one on areas that aren't exactly all that horrific and tend to bring up the fact that what happens for the most part here isn't exactly horror. As a drama it's fine but to spend as much as it does in a horror film is a little too much time here on these matters which causes this one to come off as rather bland and uninteresting for the most part. Likewise, the final twist here almost guarantees that this one's just not all that filled with the kinds of graphic kills or brutal stalking that should've happened in a story like this as it effectively removes the option for such matter to occur in the film in the first place in order to keep that part alive and ends up really neutering this one massively. All in all these hold it down but not quite enough to make it unwatchable, just flawed.Rated R: Graphic Language and Violence.

This title was a great all-around title. The acting was good. Direction was good. Sound was absolutely phenomenal listening in 7.1, possibly the best mixing I've ever heard. Loved the sound for SURE. Cinematography was great. Everything else was 7/10 or better including casting etc.The plot was highly original and refreshing. I found the pacing and ending to be perfect despite what a few other reviewers thought. The thing I thought was fantastic was that we've seen movies like this so many times, but not from the perspective of the paranormal entities. The fact that it is not revealed until the end makes it feel like the masked men/women are the paranormal entities when in reality it's the other way around. I thought that flipping the perspectives like that was what made this movie so brilliant and created the illusion of originality and freshness. I'd like to see this concept applied to other genres/types of films/plots. I think the results could be absolutely brilliant in just a few generic plots I can think of off the top of my head.Well, needless to say I enjoyed this film a lot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good thriller/sci-fi/paranormal flick.J

Husbands Jonathan and Addie are passing through a hard time in their life because they recently lost their son, he has drowned a few time ago. In order to seek moments of quiet so they can get over after this tragedy, they decide to move from the city to an isolated house at the country. One night a young girl arrives at their door telling that she needs help and some peoples are chasing her. Jonathan allows Rachel to enter while he goes out to see what happened. Soon some masked strangers come inside and abduct Rachel. Doesn't pass to much time and the married couple finds themselves in danger because now are haunted by this mens and they have to protect their lives but also will find a truth about the stranger that let in their mansion. In my opinion this movie is a mix between The Crazies by George A. Romero and The Strangers because some sequences could remind you of the two horror movies. But this one is just bad, slow, boring and with a silly ending. Not recommended unless you have too much free time available.
