I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

Johnny Mack Brown stars in this aptly titled 1950 western, with a familiar plot but interesting characters. The former gridiron star sets out to clear the name of a friend who is being framed for illegal activities.Brown's earlier films were some of his best, but this one was surprisingly well done. The lovely Gail Davis appears here in another fine supporting role. This movie holds the viewers interest throughout, with only a few slow spots.Action, decent acting and good pacing add up to a pretty fair oater. Fans of the era will find this one a good example of a standard programmer.
