Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,

I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

This has the charm and spirit that you look for in these generic 90s straight-to-video genre movies. Its a very lazy and illogical mix of John Carpenter's The Thing, Evil Dead and From Dusk Til Dawn (or maybe its just a clever ripoff of Predator), probably shot in a week's time with almost no money. But JR keeps it heavy on action, plot and humor. The action is laughable, the plot is full of holes and the humor is cringeworthy, but the sincerity is impressive. The best moments are the groan-inducing attempts at romantic dialogue and teary acting. Its wonderful camp! Because it is both amateurish and ironic, this film is like Don Dohler meets John Waters.

POLYMORPH is another example of cheap and cheesy Z-grade film-making from director J.R. Bookwalkter, the man who made THE DEAD NEXT DOOR back in the 1980s and has who has been shooting fun, zero budget productions ever since. POLYMORPH is a typically high energy production in which a bunch of characters in the woods are assailed by a body-swapping alien parasite. The film openly references THE EVIL DEAD and feels a little like it, although much less inferior. The alien is much like the one in THE HIDDEN although the effects aren't quite up to the job. The stilted dialogue is occasionally excruciating, but the comic book-style info boxes and the cheesy computer FX are mildly amusing as is the film as a whole.

Talk about a movie without much content... I was so bored with it. There's is nothing to compare with the precedent efforts of the director, like the Dead Next Door. No gore, cheesy acting, dialog & cinematography, ugly special FX... I did bought the special edition DVD (it was like 30 bucks! bad choice), and there is not much there in term of extra to help the movie. I know it was a low budget way before I bought it and there is a lot of good low budget films, but this isn't the case here. We've got also an ugly cover art and a title who's far better than the film itself. To bad the director didn't explore more with that kind of title. My recommendation: don't watch it.

I don't know what the reviewer above was thinking with "solid performances", the acting for the most part is garbage, the cinematography isn't great (but not terrible), music is sort of crap most of the time, but it's obvious there was barely a budget for this movie so you can't blame them for that. Now that being said, this is actually an entertaining movie, as stated previously, not much is done well mostly I'm sure due to lack of budget. So if you are used to these types of movies, grab this movie and give it one view, you most likely will not be disappointed if you're used to the low/no budget films.I really hope this doesn't violate spoiler policy 'cause I want everyone to read this that is interested in this movie and I don't consider this a spoiler, but this movie unlike many may suspect doesn't end all happy and is pulled off well I think, very effective. It's really nice to have a change of pace now and then without this happy ending crap.
