Tockinit not horrible nor great
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
leroyacurso Sometimes, it's great just to turn over control of your brain to your TV set and let it entertain you. This movie has a simple plot that follows the the typical rom com formula with a few twists. However, in my opinion, it has likable characters and a likable plot. Overall, it's a fun use of an hour and a half!
lazyorama 1st of all Mr. Captian America justifies his acting and screen presence only with action movie kind of characters....That kind of roles suit his (expressionless) personality and acting skills (to an extent), But now you have him play this character, that too in a worn out screenplay;and, with shitty dialogues, that you know he can never carry or make us believe in it.This movie fools us to watch it, just due to it's exemplary star cast. But, It's just a trap for us to watch this sorry movie. Why do this?I mean why waste all this effort? Reprimand the CSA, for cheating his/her profession.
erdincyavuz I watched this movie for the second time today and I am surprised how well it was written and acted. Congrats to both writers and all actors and actresses. The movie is genuine and feels realistic even when it is a little bit cliché. First I thought it was an adaptation from a novel which I guess would be best-seller. I think the boat scene was pretty eye-opening and everyone may have get something from this movie. I'd like to watch more movies from these writers again. The idea writing a Rom-Com into a Rom-Com movie was great and the writers managed to pull it off. What I wished was the book may have begun being written at the beginning of the movie and evolved as "the writer" experienced things; but that's me. Another thing I loved about the movie was that it avoided the cliché "I wrote a book about us and it made you upset.". The only weak part of the story was the revelation of the writer's lies about charity events and stories he made up. They can't be good enough reasons "the girl" was so upset about him and decided to go on with her marriage. Another one, maybe was the casting for the "charity guy"; could be a better choice for him even a woman would be much better.
Claudio Carvalho A screenwriter (Chris Evans) is assigned to write the screenplay of a romantic comedy by his agent Bryan (Anthony Mackie), but he has difficulties to deal with the theme since he was abandoned by his mother when he was a boy. He unsuccessfully tries to have information about love from his friends that are also writers. When he meets a beautiful woman (Michelle Monaghan) in a charity event, he is shaken by the unknown feeling and they become friends. Further, he discovers that she is engaged of a man that represents stability for her."Playing It Cool" is an annoying, silly, boring and disappointing romantic comedy with an awful story of a man that does not believe in love due to a traumatic experience in his childhood. Indeed it is a collection of clichés. The characters are shallow and not well developed. The beautiful smile of Michelle Monaghan is the best that this film can offer. There are also many cameos only to give their names to the credit. My vote is three.Title (Brazil): "Deixa Rolar" ("Let It Go")
