A group of scientists are experimenting with time travel, and they manage to send one of their group ahead in time one hour. But when he comes back, he tells them that they’ll all be dead within the next hour unless they shut the machine down.

Reviews
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
jk-692-236394 Sometimes I forget how bad amateur actors can be. This feels like a college film project. The dialogue and acting was below par. It was the delivery of the lines. So much of it was overdone, or else delivered in a monotone. They could of used a bit of acting coaching. I am not sure the lines were even that bad overall, but the way they said them, the echoing of the sound and cheapness showed in the sound and sets. Also way too many f-words. They feel so phony. That always feels like such a cheap way to express your emotion to me. The NZ blonde actress slipped in and out of a NY/Jersey maybe NZ a bit accent and then a more normal American accent. I guess she is actually a stunt women as a primary career whom has moved to acting. The movie moved bit slowly even though it was trying to move fast, it was a little boring as it went. Luckily you can FF on netflix. The ending was not that satisfying.I will give them props for the actual machine effects. They did good with that. When they got zapped back and forth it looked good. It looks like they shot the entire movie in a parking garage. It is a good effort for a low budget movie.
Tss5078 The manipulation of time is my favorite form of Science Fiction, it also happens to be the most difficult to write. Alternate histories, time travel, and of course paradoxes, can very easily go from entertaining to confusing to unwatchable in the blink of an eye. There is a very fine line between explaining too little, confusing audiences, and explaining too much, hence boring them to death with the scientific stuff. Lucky for us, not only does the new Sci-Fi thriller, Paradox manage to find that line, but much like it's story, it manages to come back to it over and over again. The story seems like a rather basic one, as a group of scientist are hired by a mysterious billionaire, to create a machine for the purposes of time travel. On this day, the group is pretty confident that they have completed the machine and will be sending one member, one hour into the future. The test works perfectly, only when the man arrives an hour into the future, he finds the lab is a mess and many of his colleagues are dead, hence the paradox. Will going back to warn everyone cause what he just saw or will it prevent it? Paradox is one of those films where it isn't about the acting, any decent actor could have been cast, it's the story that matters and the story was fantastic. The way they manage to utilize the machine and equipment that you never even noticed, or how they amp up the mystery by making everyone have that one thing that could make them a possible suspect, just makes the film that much more intense. This was honestly one of my favorite movies of 2016, and believe it or not, it was Written/Directed by a completely unlikely source. After seeing this, I had to know who wrote it and to my surprise, it was Michael Hurst, a guy who until now had only written some B-horror movies and directed some Xena episodes!?! This time he tried something different and may have found his true calling. If you love science fiction and a great mystery on top of that, you won't find many films that combine the two with the ease and satisfaction of Paradox.
dave-70421 Clearly this is made on a relative small budget for straight to TV\DVD release, which maybe some should consider if scoring based on films with ten to a hundred times the budget with visuals to match. So I try to review based more on acting and story. The first 15 minutes or so of acting in fairness did seen rather poor but certainly picked up during the film.Sadly the time machine itself seemed very unrealistic and I was left feeling they could have put far more effort into that than they did with what seemed like nothing more than a bit of stage rigging that you often see in pop-up form in shopping centers etc when they have "celebrity" appearances etc. However I tried to not let that bother me to much and just try to enjoy what was clearly a budget film. Soundtrack was decent enough and certainly helped with the atmosphere for the film quite a lot so top marks on that. The story itself was certainly above average for these budget films and no real pointless angles or daft endings even if a very slight twist in the end. Sure, if you over analyze the script and scenes you will find plot holes to complain about quite easily. But it's not supposed to be or claiming to be a factually or theoretically correct on the script front. If your willing to just sit and watch the film without over analyzing or judging it to much based on budget it's quite an enjoyable film to fill 90 minutes.
MaxwellEquation It is not a good movie, but fun to watch. The idea of time travel can have some promising story lines and this movie tries to incorporate some of these ideas (Casual loops, Novikov self- consistency principle). The execution of the time travel loops is a bit shabby and you have to pay attention because it is easy to miss a "plot" point due to the fast pacing. Especially towards the end of the movie I couldn't follow exactly what was going on... to fast and also bad writing. The story has a lot of loose threads, silly plot twists, very bad dialogue and useless sub-plots (why incorporate the cop/NSA plot into it and not keep it focused on the time travel loops?). Writers could have done a better job on this one, but I still was compelled to keep watching and was interested in how it worked out in the end because time travel can be awesome (Primer, anyone?).Zoë Bell kicks some ass and adds a bit of talent to the cast, but most of the acting is not believable. Especially the "main" character (though the actor didn't have a lot of great material to work with) does a bad job.
