Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Allissa .Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Desertman84 The films Bagets and Bagets 2 made a lot of money and it made big stars of out of leads.A follow up was made.Since the producers needed another film for the new Bagets stars to capitalize on their popularity.Bagets 3 wasn't a good idea because they needed something refreshing and original. That is why they decided to ride on the popularity of ninjas and martial arts at the time the film was released. Thus,Ninja Kids was made. The film has cheese written all over it together with the obvious low in quality in terms of production values and special effects. The story obviously was predictable and everyone knew what is going to happen in the end may halfway through the film. But nobody cares. As long as the Bagets stars are appearing, everything is overlooked and forgiven. As usual, the movie made lots of money at the box office as everyone knew that the intended audience are more into the cast appearing in the film rather than what the movie has to offer.
straywolf Ninja Kids was produced after the popularity of the earlier teen flick "Bagets." It was formulaic in nature and typical of many Filipino movies of the 80s: A light plot with lots of action, some singing, much comedy and little drama. And the good guys always win. Baget's Alumni HERBERT BAUTISTA, JC BONIN and FRANCIS MAGALONA star. The film was the only film that singing sensation KENO ever starred in. (There were more VIVA film offers after which he declined.) It was also the vehicle to introduce RICKY RIVERA and DENNIS DASILVA. Filming began during the political tension of "people power" and production had to halt a few weeks. (The break is evident to the keen observer, most specially at the end when small inconsistencies can be seen, e.g, it is not ELIZABETH OROPESA playing lotus but a look-a-like. KENO's hair is shorter, etc.) All in all, it is a highly enjoyable film. Shown on late night TV, it is remembered fondly by the 40's and older group who were teens themselves back then when it was shown.
ludacris0222 I first saw this movie when i was 9 (i'm now 19) and i loved it the minute i saw it and i got my mum and dad to rent it out of the local video store mostly every week, but then the store stopped renting it out. As u can understand i was upset but was to young to fully appreciate the situation and so i forgot about it for a while but every time i have been asked about a film or what is my favourite film i always refer back to ninja kids. It is about seven boys who plan to spy on their girl friends at a retreat camp during summer vacation but they get lost in a forest and they stumble across and old man who gives them each a yin-yang amulet, each time they do something with the amulet they turn in to ninjas, and they use this to beat the bad guys and help rescue the girl. I wish i could give a better description but i haven't seen the film for 10 years so i have forgot a lot of the plot points and basically the whole story. If anyone has a copy of this film or knows of any where on earth i might locate a copy i would be forever so greatful.I would love to see this film just one more time just for old times sake.
fab-one A cheesy movie featuring the 80's bagets (young actors). Movies featuring teeny-boopers were big hit in early 80's with the smashing Bagets series (almost all in the leading cast in this flick were in Bagets series - except for Aga and William). At that time, karate/ninja movies also made a killing in the big screen. Hence, this movie was made. I remember that singing sensation Keno (remember his hit "Leaving Yesterday's Behind?), where the hell is he now? Ohhh, Lea Salonga is in the cast. Lea who? The Miss Saigon? The Tony Awardee? Yes....my dear! Anyway, I will still love to watch this flick if given the opportunity. Well, it reminds me of my teen-age years!
