Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Prismark10 Jack Reed: Badge of Honor is a made for television film starring Brian Dennehy as tough, no nonsense Jack Reed. Its the second in the series of the Jack Reed TV movies as he has in this film a less than amicable relationship with Michael Talbott, which warms up in later films. There is a nice cast here with Alice Krige, William Sadler and Neal McDonough. Reed is after a murderous sociopath who might have framed an orderly with learning difficulties. Reed soon discovers that the case is complicated by the US government as the main suspect is an informant and they are willing to go to great lengths to protect him. The main suspect played by William Sadler oozes so much villainy that there is no suspense in the story.Dennehy and the makers of this TV film are aiming for gritty realism but its very unconvincing and soft centred. There is nothing hard boiled here and later Reed films do not seem to improve matters.
fukko123 This film features Brian Dennehy as a cop (surprise surprise). but wait theres more ! Branscombe Richmond in his usual native-american supporting role, Bill Cosby providing a few laughs this film has it all. Unfortunately even actors of this calibre cant work wonders with a script this bad 6/10
