This is How Movies Should Be Made

It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

I'm not being mean when I review this film, but another reviewer talked of Kellie Martin's looks. I happen to fine her attractive enough, but she is a bit mature looking compared to the actor playing Matt Swift. The only reason I've taken the time to review this film is because romantic films such as this no matter how awful they are, I usually come to enjoy them. I watched "What Happens in Vegas" With Cameron Diaz and thought even though the film wasn't amazing it still held my interest and had me laughing. Unfortunely "I married Who" Couldn't sustain me at all! Everything about the film was just disgustingly sub-par, right down to the name. As if they couldn't come up with anything better then "I married who" AKA Always the Bride! Then the actors are not well chosen, I'm surprised that some of the performances were actually decent, but the plot was ridiculous, (which is usually fine with films like this, but to some extent.) Then the score, who ever created the score should be fired. I could hardly hear what the actors were saying! The music hardly fit the emotion of the film. Some parts were actually hard to watch. Over all I was very disappointed, because as I said before the style of the film is sort of a guilty pleasure for me,and even with an awful script they could of still made it enjoyable but the casting and production style were awful. What more can you ask from a Hallmark film though?

I enjoyed this movie... I remember Kellie Martin as a teenager on "Life Goes On" back in the late 80s -- nice to see she made a successful transition from child actress to adult actress. And despite what another review on this board says, she's actually younger than Ethan Erickson... and I think she looks great! The movie takes off right away with Jordan (Kellie Martin) and her friends heading to Vegas for her bachelorette party, and keeps your interest throughout the rest of the story. It was also nice to see Bess Armstrong (an actress I've always liked, but I've always been surprised at how little I see her) and Erin Gray (who I have liked since she was "Silver Spoons" in the 80s).

Kellie Martin goes to Vegas for her bachelorette party. She gets drunk and married to Ethan Erickson, movie star. Before they can get the marriage annulled, the tabloids and Erickson's agent begin to take her life apart. It's a fairly typical Hallmark TV movie, improved a bit by good performances. Ms. Martin's role is the usual serious business woman and Mr. Erickson the typical good-natured drifter who allows his agent to push him around long enough to keep the plot going. However, they are both willing to step up the performances a bit to make them amusing.I do have one complaint: whoever did the score for this movie did it in a perky mood, so anxious to call attention to the fact that, yes, this is funny, that it intrudes.

It's a Saturday morning and I came across this flick on the Pixl channel as a sneak peak and decided to watch while cleaning. I found myself getting sucked in and continuously going back to the synopsis to clarify. You see, this movie about Jordan (Jordy) and her relationship to Peter and Matt. Peter is her fiancée whom she is set to marry and Matt is the big time celebrity who she actually did marry after her Vegas bachelorette party. The great thing about this plot is that it did go against the grain a little, but ultimately it left you feeling like you been duped. Sure, Matt Damon did it, but his wife is actually pretty. Kellie Martin's acting is good enough, but looks need to be considered when going up against Ethan Erickson. She ends up looking like Matt Swifts long lost, much older sister. If you want a movie to work, the relationship needs to be believable. We are supposed to be rooting for Matt and Jordan, but ultimately, I just wanted them to reveal their true ages.
