Karry Best movie of this year hands down!

Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Three years earlier O'Brien had single-handedly captured The Terror and was called Hero by the people of L.A. Now Simon has escaped and has started killing women again, and O'Brien is the only man who can stop him. The Problem with this film is mostly the killer the way he breaks the necks of all this people is over the top and kinda dumb. The acting is OK nothing spectacular and Chuck Norris let's face it his memes are funny but his acting or his movies are in the same dumb list as the ones of Steven Seagal honestly he isn't that much of a great action star but this movie is OK for the most part nothing crazy about it

Vivekmaru45 Based on Michael Blodgett's 1982 novel of the same name, it follows Danny O'Brien(Chuck Norris), a cop, trying to stop a serial killer, Simon Moon nicknamed "The Terror". Danny O'Brien is a cop who likes to work alone that never waits for his back up. In L.A. he is trying to apprehend the notorious Simon Moon (Jack O'Halloran), also known as The Terror. Simon has been killing women by snapping their necks and taking them to his lair in an abandoned movie theater. O'Brien is attacked by Simon who almost kills him in the struggle. When the killer flees the scene and climbs up a ladder he slips and falls, knocking himself unconscious. When the backup arrives they think O'Brien caught The Terror and the people of L.A. call him "Hero". Simon is then arrested and taken to jail.When Dr. Highwater (Billy Drago) goes to visit Simon he escapes by cutting through the bars of his cell. He then steals a laundry van by push starting it but loses control and falls straight down into a cliff face. When the media hears about this they pronounce Simon dead and the people of L.A. are relieved.Three years later the murders start back up again and O'Brien thinks it's The Terror has returned to his old hunting grounds...Excellent acting, script, direction, photography, background effects and music. Directed by the acclaimed William Tannen, who has won five Clios, (the industry's highest honor) for clients such as Diet Coke, Ford, Air France, McDonald's, and Pepsi Cola. Tannen has directed films like the political thriller Flashpoint for Tri-Star Pictures, and co-directed Deadly Illusion starring Billy Dee Williams for RCA/Columbia and CineTel Films. Tannen then wrote his first produced screenplay, Cover Up for Dolph Lundgren and Louis Gossett. Capital Films of London produced the film. Comeuppance Reviews Danny O'Brien (Chuck) is an L.A. area cop who is still reeling from his encounter with a psychopathic, murderous maniac named Simon Moon (O'Halloran). O'Brien exorcises his demons pumping iron in the weight room. Moon is so scary, he's been nicknamed "The Terror" by the press. However, O'Brien has also been nicknamed. To the residents of L.A., he's "The Hero". Starting to see where this is going? Anyway, Chuck hates his nickname, and just wants to spend time with his lovely wife Kay (Thayer), who is pregnant. But the Mayor of L.A. (O'Neal) wants results on The Terror case. So O'Brien calls in his buddy Robinson (James) to help out. The two suspect that the baddie is hiding out in the bowels of the Wiltern Theater, which sets the stage for the final battle. Who will prevail: The Hero or The Terror? Find out today… Simply speaking, The Hero and The Terror is classic 80's Chuck. It might not be one of his more talked-about titles, but it's well worth seeing. It's kind of like a better version of Silent Rage (1982), insofar as it's about a psycho killer and Chuck's chasing him, while doing minimal Martial Arts. If you have to see one of those two movies, see this one. It's a quality production: it's excellently shot, with very nice cinematography, the cast is top-notch, and it all exudes an aura of professionalism. It's not at all junky, and it would have been very cool to see this in the theater in '88.Chuck puts in a great performance, that of a troubled hero haunted by The Terror, while still striving to be a rock of stability and companionship for his wife. Fan favorite Steve James is as charismatic as ever, and is always a joy to watch. He even wears the same WrestleMania hat as he does in McBain (1991). That must make us truly hardcore Steve James fans to notice a detail like that. Ron O'Neal does a decent job as "The Mayor", and Billy Drago has a glorified Cameo as a doctor. Come to think of it, it's not all that glorified.We very much enjoyed the slower pace of this film. Slow pace doesn't equal bad: bad equals bad. We're against the notion that MTV-style fast cuts and ADD-afflicted editing should be the standard we all have to now live by. So by that logic if a movie isn't moving at a breakneck pace, it's no good? We reject that entirely. Bring us back to the days when a pace was meant to draw you in and you could get to know the characters. So we applaud director Tannen for that. He went on to be a co-director of Inside Edge (1992), which also featured Branscombe Richmond, as does HATT, as all the cool kids call it (i.e., this movie).For straight down-the-line and above board Chuck, Hero and the Terror is a great choice.

CitizenCaine This is simply another bad Chuck Norris movie. Norris plays a cop on the trail of a twisted serial killer of women. He put the guy away three years before, but the guy somehow gets through the bars in the nut house he's in by using what looks like dental floss. Then the killer escapes in a cleaning van and drives it over a 400 foot cliff and survives to spend time around a theater undergoing renovation. Irish Jack O'Halloran is the best thing in this movie, but like in Superman II, he doesn't say a word. Somehow that's supposed to make him more menacing. Ron O'Neal of Super Fly fame and Steve James are wasted playing the city's mayor and Norris' sidekick respectively. The film also contains the idiotic subplot of Norris and his girlfriend having a child out of wedlock; it's so 1980's. When coupling Norris' "serious" acting turn with over-the-top musical cues signaling every forthcoming scene in predictable fashion, the film becomes a chore to sit through. The build-up while searching for the killer in the theater is interesting enough with Norris crawling through the shadows to discover the hideaway, but the end fight is disappointing after beginning in such a promising way. It's yet another disappointment from Cannon Films, and it plays like a movie made for television. * of 4 stars.
