Reviews
Cubussoli Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Kirpianuscus in many senses, more than a masterpiece. because it has the gift to be an inspired introduction to the Serbian Medieval civilization. because it propose a complex and nuanced story about meanings, duty, sacrifice and appearances. because it reminds Andrei Rublev, not only for monastic frame but for the same problems in not different context. maybe, only the answer is different. but its root is the same like in Tarkovsky film. another virtue - the atmosphere. not only the historical accuracy is a great good point but the art to reflect the sources of the perspectives of visions. a forbidden love story. and a monk. a country in reconstruction. and the seal of a period. and something out of words. origin of emotion and reflection and the feeling to be part of other time.
Armand medieval Serbia. a monk and his cure art. a monastery, a noble man and a love story. nothing new. nothing complicated. in a sense, a new Andrei Rublev.dedication for others, angry and revenge, a form of refuge, a country after a dark period. but this movie is special. first - for the Velimirovic science to use the text, creating not only an inspired adaptation but a delicate homage to Serbian past. than - almost each scene, the Orthodox spirit, the costumes and saints faces, the angle and the dialogs. and, in same measure, the performance of Gojko Santic. a touching story, a nice memories for many Yugoslavian public. and a profound pledge for national values , importance of origins, all in middle of an impossible relationship.
