GamerTab That was an excellent one.

Catherina If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
mrchrisbrindle When I bought this I was really looking forward to the combination of an Eddie Bunker (No Beast So Fierce/Straight Time, Animal Factory, Runaway Train) story directed by Paul Schrader and featuring Willem Defoe in what seemed a great combination. Unfortunately it's a substandard crime flick with meandering plot, over the top and outdated editing (Think Tony Scott a decade ago, only badly done) and a bizarre ending. I paid £1.00 GBP for a used Bluray and feel short changed. Only completists and Die Hards need view this poor offering.
adonis98-743-186503 A crew of ex-cons are hired by a Cleveland mafioso to kidnap the baby of a rival mobster. I knew that Dog Eat Dog was going to be awful from just the opening shot of Willem Dafoe sitting on the couch inside a purple house where then he goes to the bathroom gets incredibly high then 2 fat ladies come out a woman and her daughter, then the fat woman basically finds out that Dafoe likes porn a lot and she tells him to get out of her house, he chooses to slice her neck and start stab her some more, Nicolas Cage grabs the tits of some stripper and i don't remember much after that cause i started skip scene after scene. In fact i don't know which film is worse: Arsenal or Dog Eat Dog? Probably both what i'm trying to say is that you don't need to see this film like never i mean never cause i saved you some cash. (0/10)
Prismark10 Director Paul Schrader has written some great films. By the look of Dog Eat Dog his best days are behind him. This is a poor crime film. In fact for this type of movies there are a bunch of Quentin Tarantino wannabees who could had done a better job blindfolded. The one big problem with the film is that you hate all the main characters so the movie has nothing to offer. One time Oscar winner but now straight to pay television star, Nicolas Cage plays Troy who narrates the film. He is a criminal who wants to go straight but circumstances and fate dictates otherwise. He has teamed up with Mad Dog (Willem Dafoe), a man who helped him out in prison. Right at the beginning we see him high on drugs, kill his girlfriend and her daughter. A real nice guy.Diesel (Christopher Matthew Cook) is the muscle and in another universe, smart enough to amount to something. Here though these guys do small time jobs for mobsters and then party with hookers. For a big payday they take on a job to kidnap a baby of a rival gangster and it all goes horribly wrong.Nihilistic, bloody, violent yet empty. Schrader tries to make the film flashy in order to appear relevant but he really has nothing to say. It is hard to believe that this film was made by a person who once spent five years learning Japanese so he could make a movie about the life of Mishima.Schrader comes from a devout religious upbringing. He needs to do penance for inflicting this garbage.
kosmasp When you have the Taxi Driver screenwriter at the helm, you know what you are in for. Well you should, if you have seen that Robert De Niro starring movie. We're talking about a very weird movie, that has quite a few spikes in violence, that may offend quite a few people. It's a taste thing when it comes to what is shown on screen.Starring Nicolas Cage in one of his best roles in years. He doesn't just dials in it. The really crazy Willem Dafoe and an unknown face to me at least complete a totally weird trio of people, who seem to have a couple of things in common. One of them is Trust issues. The movie is seriously out there and will put viewers to test in many of their senses. It does have a few hiccups and it feels like it loses its drive or focus at times, but there's always another great scene/character moment around the corner
