Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances "Baby" Houseman falls in love with the camp's dance instructor, Johnny Castle, and nothing is ever the same for anyone in the Houseman family.

Reviews
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Leoni Haney Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
k-45320 A waste of time This baby can't dance but only sink down to the bottom of the water
blakechelsey Movie was terrible. Baby's outfits were ill fitting, the singing was blah, and there was NO CHEMISTRY between baby and Johnny. AND the worst part if after 2 hours of crap movie they didn't even end up together!!! Too many changes from the original scrip, the only change I liked was the added drama and romance between Baby's mom and dad.
jge-06942 I am a huge fan of the original movie, so I was already skeptic about this version...classics like this just shouldn't be touched. And I was so right...Watched about 20 minutes of this new version and couldn't bare to watch another minute! Awful acting, it was all simply horrendous. If their intention was to make a parody about the movie, then they succeeded...just the most horrendous movie I ever (almost) watched. Don't waste your time.
fuller-lucy I do not even know where to start with this. I am genuinely still in a mix of disgust and shock that they have desecrated dirty dancing with this appalling knock off. I just do not understand why they have not only completely altered the story line but also cast it terribly. I find it hilarious that they cast casper smart in a non dancing role when he is such an amazing dancer and I really cannot believe they cast abigail breslin as baby. Abigail was clearly too large for the role and lifts and couldn't dance throughout even after 'being taught' by an unworthy and awful acted johnny. I also cant understand the musical aspect of it or why they tried to 'make it stand out from the original' by completely changing the plot so it was unrecognizable. The whole point of remaking dirty dancing is so that we can not only reminisce when we watch it of the amazing original but we can also experience the revamping of an old classic with a new and current casting, none of which were even remotely done. They should have also stuck to the original soundtrack and not created their own version so that it not only sounded awful but it disgraced the classic songs we remember fondly. I am angry that I have watched it as it will now pop into my head each time I watch the actual dirty dancing film but its only good quality is it really does make the original look and be even better if thats even possible. I think the people behind this failure should be ashamed and disgusted at what they have done.
