Blucher One of the worst movies I've ever seen
2hotFeature one of my absolute favorites!
Spidersecu Don't Believe the Hype
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
janm_mac After reading the reviews, your ratings are solely based on the historical facts instead of the overall outcome of the movie. Reviewers keep mentioning that this is not a Pixar movie so the animation is mediocre at best. Some animated movies' ratings are based on overall presentation, the picture/animation, the sounds, the pacing and directing, the character's portrayal.... in short the whole package, yet these reviews keep on stating it is the "Proud History of Sikh People" and they being Indians I felt they're reviews are biased, let me tell you this if I want a history lesson I'd open a book and read about it.Reviews and ratings should be based on the scores of each categories, as the scores of animated movies on IMDb's top list are based on those. Also, the most important thing about releasing an animated movie internationally is it should connect to all people of all nation and not just from people where it came from. I can't believe its ratings is on par with "Spirited Away".
gurpreetladi My rating is based on the content of this movie which caters to "ITS AUDIENCE" perfectly. Movie goers who enjoy animation quality over the depth and sincerity of the story may find animation lacking to an extent though it is commendable to produce such eye soothing visuals with lesser than 2 percent of the budget as compared to a Hollywood flick. Animation is in nascent state in India hence this venture should be regarded as a bold yet sincere step and owing to the fact that this is based on actual history associated with the sentiments of a religious minority the pains taken to avoid any controversy is commendable as well. (Mild spoiler ahead) Due to important and wise restrictions on animating The Masters (The gurus) movie buffs complain about the gurus being depicted in still imagery but then again it is commendable that movie makers took care of that fact yet making the movie look beautiful. The movie made suitable for all audience does not show blood gore and does not give audience much to ponder upon the technicality of warfare making it interesting and understandable for younger generation. Though movie is taken to be associated with religion but It actually is based on the unbreakable human spirit and a tribute to probably the firsts to die for right to speech, expression and right to live with dignity and on own terms. The message is correct, motivating and true and beyond the boundaries of religion, race or country. A must for parents who like their children watching motivational cinema. Not to forget that this movie is true to events and movie watchers should not restrict themselves to this movie but should research on the history associated with characters of this story. Too much for world to learn from this part of the world.
amitkray A must watch movie for all Indians. It shows our weakness and strength. Divided we fall and united we stand. Why Mughals were able to rule for so many years despite we having strong soldiers? Some of our own kings were traitors. Its not only about Guru Gobind Singh alone but many such kings who were forcefully converted to Islam by the Mughals, and if they denied, they were killed mercilessly. This is the Best animated movie with lots of emotions attached. I liked the end part where the strength shown by the kids is applaudable. But the end scene is emotional and creates anger which could have been avoided. The way they killed the little kids is height of inhumanity. At present the same agenda is carried out by ISIS, Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.I feel all religion should be respected and no one should try to forcefully convert someone.
