Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
S_Craig_Zahler Deliberately paced vivisections are the meat of this nearly plot less gore exploration, which in quite a few ways tops the original Japanese Guinea Pig series whence it sprung. Although many will complain of the lack of dramatic content, this movie is a hideous spectacle that displays creativity in ways other than developing an interesting "plot" or "characters"...and these ways are for the most part exceedingly nasty. Some angles and films stocks and effects look more realistic than others, but most of the rough stuff plays pretty well or very well. It is no small achievement that after nearly an hour of carnage, Biro, Koch, Bebber, and company manage plumb the most disturbing depths in the final gore sequences and epilogue. Included are some quite memorable usages of needles, a crucifix, and branch clippers...
TitoJohnson Okay,I was lucky enough to see this film in a hotel room at a Horror Convention (Cinema Wasteland)in Ohio with about 20 other people that I had never met before. Then a copy of the film was put in to play without a word of what we were about to witness. After about five or ten minutes two people left the room as it was to much for them to handle. This film should have some type of warning that states that if you have just eaten, have a weak stomach or are not used to such extremely graphic gore please pass this by. I'm sure that this film will be banned in several countries. However if you are into hardcore graphic blood spurting type of film this is a must. This movie had some of the best special effects that I have ever seen on film. If your a guy and your into torture films it is an instant hard on. Chicks that are into this, the wetness will be running down your legs. The scalpel work was intense! I hope part two starts off where part one ended. I know that might be to much for some but I hope the envelope keeps getting pushed. I didn't want to give anything away with this review but the title Human Dissection may say to much. I hope I gave this film the justice it deserved. I will purchase a copy for myself!
Ryan Vincent Logsdon American Guinea Pig: Bouquet of Guts and Gore ... an astonishing work of ultra violence and confrontational cinema. Three men record the vile deeds of their "Star" who systematically tortures and mutilates his costars while taking direction as well as improvising the depraved acts on display. Continuing the Guinea Pig legacy director Stephen Biro has added a worthy addition to the blood- soaked Japanese collection of movies in the series. Audience members were left speechless while viewing the incredible effects of gore master Marcus Koch with the occasional gasps heard following any of the various chaotic acts viewed. The cinematography was compelling and added much more to the overall dread felt watching this snuff film. The actors all seemed to not only understand what their characters are all about but they project their own senses of style and development throughout the piece. Rarely can one effectively recreate the revolting realities of a pseudo snuff film but the talent behind this movie not only matches the carnage that has come before it but adds to the belief that what you are watching actually has and can happen via the lens of madmen.
GENE PALUBICKI From the very start of this film you are lead by hand and soul/spirit through the slow and morbid crawl of every cut, hack, tear, and gouge of the human destruction on display... the cameras never cut away... yes, the 73 minutes is principally flesh, blood, bone, and the madmen tearing it to pieces... It is an unrelenting celebration of OTT gore/violence intended for those desiring wall to wall hellish blood lusting mayhem...and the incredible rendering of the visuals viewed through ACTUAL Super 8 film are incomparable, as well as the hyper definition of VHS... all F/X work done by this team will set new standards for what Hard gore in films need to rise to... and the sustained hopeless atmosphere and grim minimalist score contribute greatly to the sense of total inescapable darkness...
