The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Had high hopes for this given the real SEAL dimension but it was not the SEALs who let this film down, nor was it the cameramen but the plot and direction.It is nicely shot, good locations, albeit too many switches, and decent acting but the story was overkill and the constantly changing locations made it reminiscent of the the opening credits for The A-Team.The voice-over was distracting given the lack of emotion in the voice and the good vs evil characters was comic book like.Overall it came across like a cold war era propaganda film which I'm sure was not the intention as movie goers today are too savvy to fall for such attempts. I feel the filmmakers let the SEALs down and should have taken a leaf out of the Tears of The Sun playbook.

(very minor spoiler mentioned) I liked this film despite it being a shameless advertisement and recruitment tool for the US Navy SEALs. I don't have a problem with that anyway. Why not, I guess?However, the thing that really stood out the most, and above the story, was the blatant parade of costumes, gear, and weapons.I don't know if the SEALS really have this many uniforms or not but here's how many I counted: 1. In the beginning of the movie they are all in MULTICAM Under-Body-Army-Combat-Shirts (UBACS) 2. Next, their wearing US WOODLAND BDUs when they extract the girl. 3. Then they are in 3-color DCUs (Desert Cameo Uniform) for the next operation 3. And finally, they are hitting the beaches at the end in USMC Desert MARPAT.Seriously? That many uniforms? And the gear? Wow! Impressive display of firepower, weapons, vehicles, and helmet and vest attachments. Check the boxes.A pure "gear-fest." Someone was showing off!SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTIONBut still, I liked the movie.

While this movie struggles with acting and script that's not primarily what we are here to experience. It excels in the action sequences in which real life Special Warfare operatives display the skills they've acquired during a career of combat. Even when the action heats up the stilted acting jobs flow much easier and become extremely believable. Despite the simple plot and the sacrifice you see coming from scene one it's hard not to just sit back and appreciate, as you watch this, that real men are out there attempting similar missions this very day to keep us all safe. It's impossible not to feel the emotion in the funeral scene at the end when the living take a moment to honor the brothers that did not survive. Even if this happens to be staged for the screen you can just feel that these men have had to perform this ritual before. So overall not a great movie but for what it encompasses in the grand scheme and due to some highly engaging tactical scenes this film gets good marks
