kichdi I watched Wild Things, Wild things 2, Wild things 3 & Wild things foursome. I watched all 4 in one calendar day. All of them have almost identical story lines with the common factors being a detective following up on the very young crime suspects, all of them have girls as criminal masterminds, protagonist & villain actually being hand in glove. Both meeting each other + anybody who also happens to be in the scheme joining for a sexual threesome in all the movies before greed taking over their friendship / relationship. At least one person dies after the threesome. The detective who usually looks very sincere to the department till the middle of each movie is actually a player too. Sheer disrespect to elders & parents are part of the script in all the parts. The girls look gorgeous but each usurping the other, cheating, conning, murder & lies are shown in all the parts, Today's youngsters will be badly influenced to this muck. I do not know if the directors are same for all but Mandalay films are common. I must write there is no goodness or moral values at all in any of them. Cheap crappy movies are churned out just for polluting young minds in the form of movies by this production house. The only knowledge you can gain as a young mind by watching these crap is to cheat your elders, murder, fake murder, beat the system to escape with the loot. In all movies criminal wins, if it were 3 out of 4 or 2 of 2 it would have been okay but in all 4 deceit wins. This actually is like showing young minds to be a villain to be rich. Shame..

inspectors71 17 years after seeing Wild Things, my memory is pretty sketchy, much the same as the movie. All I can recall is that there were some interesting plot twists and turns that kept me watching. The story of a detective--Kevin Bacon, I think--involved in something or another about murder and a guidance counselor--Matt Dillon?--and two nymphets-- Neve Campbell and Denise Richards--and, oh, whatever. The only reason people, er, guys watch this movie is to see Campbell and Richards having sex. Wild Things is raunchy, but it has just enough skill in the storytelling that it isn't purely soft porn.If you're not terribly interested in letting the mutt in your brain pan lick himself (Stop that, Rover!) while watching the two gals "kiss and make up," you may find Wild Things marginally interesting, although it gets off (sorry) to a very weak start that telegraphs that much of the film's focus is below the belt.Funny story: At the recent White House Correspondents' Dinner, Fox News' Jesse Watters was interviewing Neve Campbell and brought up the pool scene with Denise Richards and her. She got a snarky grin on her face and said something like "It figures you'd like that."I'm no prude, but was that a slam at Watters or conservatives or just guys in general?My mutt would respond but he's busy.

bh_tafe3 Good casting, a twisting and turning plot and some sleaze combine to make this a sexy and effective thriller almost in spite of itself.Matt Dillon stars as Sam Lombardo a teacher accused of sexual assault by two school girls, the sexy Kelly (Denise Richards) and the disturbed Suzie (Neve Campbell). Investigating their claims is Detective Ray Duquette (Kevin Bacon) who suspects the assault claims may be a conspiracy involving the teacher and the two girls to try and get at Kelly's trust fund money. And Bill Murray is in this. I throw this information in at the end of the plot summation so it can be as arbitrary as his appearances in the film.The film gives us a little glimpse of Kelly's decadent Upper class family situation and Suzie's plight as a member of the under-class, but the film is not trying to say anything about this, simply underlining the differences between the two girls and also getting us to pity both women.There are a lot of twists and turns in our story, and they do come together quite well at film's end end and it all makes sense on a second viewing. You even find out why the hell Bill Murray is in this movie! This film is infamous for its lack of subtlety, including a (relatively tame) threesome sex scene, lesbian kissing, and a full frontal shot of Kevin Bacon in ALL of his glory. Also notable for Richards' over the top outing as a conflicted femme fatale. This is easily her best film role. Dillon's performance is probably the film's high point. Once you know what the film is about and the true motives of the characters, you can really appreciate what he does with Lombardo. Campbell is excellent as well.In the end, Wild Things has a lot of flaws, and is easy to poke fun at, but the bottom line is it works. All of the performances, story threads and over the top sexiness come together to make an entertaining and satisfying film. Not classy by any means, but it works.

Mark Jacobson So, if you're interested in watching this movie for the 'classic' Neve Campbell/Denise Richards scene, all the power to you. If you would like to watch a good movie, pass this one up. This movie proves that even decent actors can't fix a bad script. Oh, there are a lot of twists & turns to attempt to move the plot along & keep you interested, but there's no escaping the ridiculous dialogue & farcical acting. In my opinion, Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon should be ashamed of themselves. Like I said before, if you want to watch it for the 'classic' Neve Campbell/Denise Richards scenes, that's cool, but that's all there is, & the only reason I gave it 2 stars.
