Skunkyrate Gripping story with well-crafted characters
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
nuttnnyce This season of the Have & Have boys is awful. The writing isn't good at all. I'm totally against any type of abuse. And Tyler Perry thinks its ok to have Candace play a pimp & abuse women. That's just disgusting! I've always been a fan of his work, but this is just too much.
creamyyy8-244-939161 This has got to be the most awful show I have ever viewed on television as a drama series. After binge watching Queen Suga (excellent show), I decided I'd give another black program a shot. One which did not try and push religion and homosexual promiscuity as a way of gaining viewer acceptance. I gave this show a shot. After gritting my teeth and in disbelief of how very very incredibly awful this show was, I made it through the first season of stereo types, ba... uh Horrible acting, long drawn out stupid unreal dialogue. Most of the time I kept wishing I could jump into the TV and smack the characters in the back of their head and scream "just say what the hell you gotta say"... religious BS, a dementedly ridicules homosexuals storyline and absolutely no research on legal procedures... ummm since when can a restraining order be self served to a defendant by the plaintiff??? Really Mr. Perry? Since I was binge watching I decided to speed watch this show skipping seasons 2 and 3 picking up on season four to see if it got any better after a few seasons of figuring it all out. But NO! It was even worst. How the heck does something this awful remain on television when I have seen some absolutely wonderful shows get cancelled after 2 seasons. The Actors must be getting pennies on a dollar for these roles and Opra let's it countiune to air because it's a very low budget show, or she's doing Tyler a favor? I don't know, but man, this show does more harm to our society then help. It has the wealthy White Gods helping the unfortunate blacks, the evil religious fanatic, the gold digger, the dope dealer, the killing thug, the Italian mobs, the wealthy bougie black evil b*&$# steping on family and friends. Tyler and Opra, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I despise the show empire, but my complaints about it can be argued for a better insight. This show right here has no grounds to stand on what so ever. Mr. Perry stick to Movies. From your set design to wardrobe no one appeares to care. You have one scene where Erica goes in the bathroom to talk on the phone. She goes in in a bulky bath robe. In the next episode they pick up where they left off, but she's dressed in a mans shirt and sexy lingerie. Do you guys even take the time to review before you pick up shooting the next day? If you do not care about what you present to your audience, then your Audience should not care about giving this show a shot.
labbysexy-544-183001 Decided to watch on demand from Season 1. Could not believe in this day and age, anyone would write such nonsense!! The entire show is based on a black street girl Candace who seems to have a hold on everyone she meets especially the rich and famous, talking to them the way she pleases, rude and blackmails time and time again. Unsure which world Tyler Perry lives in where a common street black girl like Candace would have the gall to do all these things and nothing would have happened to her. The entire story line is abysmal with a cast equally woeful. Unsure why Tyler used Tika Sumpter as the main protagonist as her acting chop is just not up to par for the role. As for the other characters, I am guessing this is the best gig they could get as cannot see anyone else hiring them other than for a bad soap opera. The character of Veronica Harrington was not bad although over did it on a number of occasions as well as Jim Cryer who was not bad also.Tyler Perry clearly does not undertake research before writing as all these things can never happen. Examples being Candane walking up to secret service and shouting at them, sleeping with a judge and blackmailing him and getting away with it as well as sleeping with potential presidential candidate and filming him, Really!! Purchasing homes worth millions with cash, a black woman with no job and discernible source of income, then the kicker, wanting to borrow on the mortgage and demanding money be in account that very day. A high school kid of today would not write such mess. The entire show is so annoying and unbelievable you cannot believe an acclaimed writer like Tyler would put his name to such trite.
lndn-48245 The good news is no actor is better than the other, they are all equally lack luster, and limping. Also, there are mistakes everywhere, some of them so big it is hard to believe they were missed, like darkness in the afternoon, and characters making reference to a passed event in error, and that directly contradicts what happened a few episodes earlier. Lazy writing, lazy research, lazy proofing, and all around bad acting.I don't know what would be worse punishment, being forced to watch a season of The Kardasians, or a season of The Haves and the Have Nots. Hard to tell, but both would be good sleep aids.
