It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

This is a rare series. As people who watch Japanese television often, it usually falls apart in some way, be it acting, or comedy, and its usually a thing where you can't say it was because of a cultural or social barrier. However, Trick is one of those shows that stands up well, incredibly show. We have three great actors, Hiroshi Abe always standing out, though Yukie Nakama more than does her part as his irreplaceable partner.I've seen the show often compared to X-Files, and that really is far from the truth. Truth is, Stateside, we really don't have something like this, even if it is only the episodic nature of our television, however don't let that stop you.The story and the plot are strong, and has great music thrown, so overall this is a great series. It wouldn't hurt to give the first few episodes a try, never know, you may get hooked.
