Truly Dreadful Film
Titreenp
SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Teddie Blake
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

...subjects of this documentary-drama was the fact that its main focus was whether or not Billy the Kid should be given a posthumous pardon as (if the researchers have dome their work correctly) it seems he wasn't all as bad as he was made out to be in history. Very well-researched and fairly good acting. Shot in southern Spain due to the similarity of that landscape with the badlands of the USA. Colin Stinton was particularly good in his role. The lead actor was certainly somewhat more handsome than the real Billy the Kid. One of a series of several about the Wild West, the Custer episode (though I haven't seen it) was meant to be very good also.

I would love to see this series and look forward to it being available in the US. I have seen the stills from several websites and I saw Toby mention his enjoyment at playing Custer on a BBC interview. He said he thought it would be the closest he would get to being in a Western. I also read he had a rather skittish horse that needed a bit of sedation to do its part properly. Meanwhile, I cannot imagine why there is no photograph of the gorgeous Toby Stephens on this site. He has so many wonderful photos online to choose from. In fact, I would have a hard time choosing if I were your webmaster. I hope you will correct this oversight immediately. If you haven't seen him in Jane Eyre, you have missed one of the sexiest performances on film, ever!
