Lack of good storyline.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

This series should be watched by all people of Latin America. It shows the fight of the decent, common citizens against the cancer of structural corruption that rots all our governments and societies. The acting is excellent and the story is gripping. Cannot wait for season 2!

The actors, the camerawork, the scenery, the dialogue and the story, I lack words as to how perfectly executed it all was.It is all fiction. You can tell from the camerawork, the characters, the dialogue - that this is a TV-show. I Commend that because they don't try to follow real-life events to the nail, instead, they do whatever they can to grant the viewer a wonderful TV-experience with completely captivating camerawork and characters. The suspense and tension in some scenes just blow my mind. I'm simply amazed.Sure, some "insight" is given to how brazil government works, but absolutely no conclusions is to be made from it, as this is just one brilliant TV-series that obviously did not try to give the viewer a lesson on how brazil works. The first season has left me baffled and I just can't wait for another season. I NEED MORE

The director José Padilha once again achieves greatness.
He is able to create an amazing and interesting series from start till the very end, based on real facts.

This show is "based on true events" and in the end reality is much more incredible than fiction, because if you think what you see here is exagggerated I would beg to differ...It is not over yet, there is more to come in the show and in real life ( more prisons to come).
Why people insist in comparing this show with Narcos is beyond my comprehension, the two shows have completely different plots, one is about drugs, the other is about corruption. The only possible similarity is they both have a brazilian actor in the main lead, even there, to compare Selton de Melo, a bloody good actor with Wagner de Moura, a lousy actor( the worst Pablo Escobar, ever!) is a stretch!
Anyway, this is a very good show, very well acted, very entertaining and in the same time provides a little light about a dark period of brazilian history, which we are still living...In spite of some who tell the show is biased , it is propaganda, and deny it, the show, is very accurate, and unfortunate very faithful to the truth, to the times we live.
