    Pluskylang Great Film overall
    Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
bazxyz 3 gripping stories that make a change from the usual mind numbing drivel on tv. Shame its been stopped after 3 series due mainly to greed as usual as its not a massive hit. Sundance decided we need more repeats of MASH and Law and Order instead of something new like this... like all the other channels showing these programs isn't enough! Luckily each series is its own story so worth watching
gaztrue Now where is the third season because I already want it to start now!!! This season was sad bc of subject matter but Hap and Leonard make it okay and put a smile on my face. I dont know who thought to have these two actors together but really a stroke of genius or/and luck. Thank you!!! now go make a third season.
virtuallann-1 Hap and Leonard's on screen chemistry is seamless. You can feel that these two have been friends and brothers since childhood and there is no forced chemistry as is seen in so many "buddy" movies and tv shows. Their relationship radiates a genuine connection that is a backdrop for the story rather than the focus. The racial tensions that exist in the show are not forced either but are a backdrop as well to story-telling. A genuine portrayal of both the good and the bad that does not brow beat or try and preach politics to the viewer. So far this has been one of the most rewarding shows to watch in a long time. I really hope this one sticks around, it is a fantastic effort and will be watching it until the end.
Michael Ledo Hap (James Purefoy) which is not short for happy or hapless is best friends with Leonard ( Michael Kenneth Williams) who we later find out is gay. Waitress Trudy (Christina Hendricks) is Hap's friend with benefits. Hap is the one looking for a relationship. Trudy is also with Howard (Bill Sage) a 60's hippy ideologue. Their character is built with numerous background fillers that are somewhat pointless at this juncture of the series. The goal of this group (plus 2 others) is to recover stolen bank money from the bottom of a river. The early episodes end with a couple of odd characters who look like they stepped out of a Tarantino film. They are developed in a plot filled with betrayal and twists. They is also a lot of Silver Spur beer, Dr. Pepper, and Vanilla Wafers.Guide: No F-words or nudity. Brief sex scenes. Sex talk.
