Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Cathardincu
Surprisingly incoherent and boring

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Married Baby
Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Season 1 of TLT should win Emmys for many in the cast and for many of the usual production categories. It is breathtaking TV. The story line from FSF's novel and all of the screenplay are close to being a perfect drama. Dominque McElligott, a transported Dubliner playing a Wisconsinite, is a treasure. Matt Bomer is convincing in the romantic (heterosexual) lead. Although FSF did not finish his book, I rather think that having more seasons would detract from a beautiful beginning, middle, and end.

The premise and execution of this show is excellent. Superb acting, intriguing and juicy story lines, and the sets and costumes magnificent. Bomer is the best he's ever been, Grammar always holds the screen, and Lily Collins is quite good as well. From the opening credits to the final image, this was a great watch. Can't wait for season 2!

I loved this series. I watched, season 1 all the way through from midnight to 10 a.m. Loved it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, more seasons! I had to search how to write a review since this is my first. I just got prime to try it out, and if quality television like this will be produced I will never stop viewing. No Spoilers but episode 4 did have a couple minutes I skipped as I'm not into viewing nudity, but after that I saw the point of the scene. The acting is an A. Some of Hollywood's best I think. It was a fun ride and after all, isn't this what we all tune in for. No spoilers here, it has to have a second season. I am a fan of period pieces BBC and the like. Now I can enjoy Amazon, I was not disappointed. A definite must see.

The concept for such a series is strong and intriguing. Sadly, this pilot does not represent a very good effort. As is so often the case these days the emphasis seems to be technical rather than talent. The scenes are nicely dressed although often lit too strongly and too cool. But the bigger problem is that most of the characters are just that: characters. The dialog is insipidly cliché. The actors all look and act like 21st century teenagers.Translating period pieces onto any screen in an engaging way has always been challenging. Translating Fitzgerald doubles that challenge, as his stories are virtual bear traps for lesser talents to create comic strips like this.I don't know where all the glowing reviews are coming from. I cannot imagine many others saw this pilot any differently than I did.
