    Sexylocher Masterful Movie
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Michelle Ridley The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Scotty Burke It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
stuckinthepatch You'd have to be a special kind of stupid or an employee of Fox to like this show. It is bad on so many levels. I know a twelve year old boy who told me she couldn't pitch on his Little League team. Just truly BAD and people should feel ashamed of themselves. I will say it does well with product placement and advertising that seems to be the only reason for this show. So it has that going for it. It does look well produced and the show is shot well. It is just ill conceived. The advertising budget seems excessive for a show that will be canceled very soon. But since this has a political agenda to this show of female empowerment, maybe they will keep it around.
megtay-34688 This show is about a woman who "makes it" into MLB, which of course could NEVER happen. Women doesn't have the arm strength to throw at that velocity for that long. She would have been washed out in Double A or Triple AAA either by opponents or her own teammates. This is just a PC Show trying to say that women can do ANYTHING, when they cant. They will try to keep it on a second season even though it has like 0 ratings, just because its about chicks. I don't know ANYONE who has heard, watched, or has interest in this show. Don't watch this show, read a book, balance your checkbook, or start online college instead, like this girls pitching this show is a whiff.
Leftbanker Anyone hating on this new series either hates baseball or women but probably both. It's not that far outside the realm of the possible for a woman to make it into the bigs. With that said this show is a blast for fans of the game. Great writing and directing backed up with crazy good productions values makes this series outshine most good baseball movies and it also has such an air of authenticity about it. The major contributors to this authentic quality are the actors, all of whom are definitely big leaguers. It also doesn't hurt that the protagonist is one of the most beautiful women to grace film or TV. She also looks like a pro athlete. They use the traditions of baseball to tell the narrative and baseball traditions make for a great story. Baseball has a way of playing out a drama that the writers have plugged into for maximum effect, like in episode 3 with the bean ball incident. Any fan of the game knows exactly how these things play out so this great story just wrote itself. Well done! A couple of the negative reviews I've seen thus far make me wonder if these guys are watching the same show. I couldn't disagree more. So far this has been one of the best new shows in a long time.
MovieHoliks I watched the pilot for this new Fox drama last night, about the first fictional female MLB player. I didn't quite know who the lead, Kylie Bunbury is, but see she has been in some films I've never seen -- "The Sitter", "Prom", etc.. She is an absolute delight. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is also good as the team's veteran player and captain who sorta takes her under his wing. And really good touch what they did with the lead character's father, without giving anything away. I don't know if he'll continue to be in the rest of the series the way they've set it up, but it might actually work if they choose to go that route. I am definitely looking forward to episode 2!
