The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Welcome to the Paradise Falls' community report. Today's weather: clear skies, calm waters. Another perfect day in Paradise Falls.I have often wondered how each fan first found the show and how they felt about it. When it first came out I saw on add on Showcase back in 2001 and knew I had to watch it since it was shot in Whitevale and Muskoka. I watched with my ex-fiancé and by episode 3 we were fully hooked. We couldn't wait for the next 2 episodes to be shown every Tuesday night. The writing was superb and the actors were all so perfect for their roles. It almost seemed as though Alex Galatis and Paula Smith found their actors first and created characters in their honour. I love the show for its many characters and how the script was interwoven between all of them equally throughout its entire run. The Sparrow Lake and Whitevale scenery was just icing on the cake.I also created a face book page for fans to enjoy called "Fans of Paradise Falls TV Series" here https://www.facebook.com/groups/771420119684107/

I started watching the show PARADISE FALLS because of the actors and actresses that I noticed from other shows like MUTANT X and EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT. It is on the HERE-TV network in this city and I was hooked from the first episode(and the guy who plays Michael's butt). It has the feel of MELROSE PLACE with some magic and thrown in and better dialog. Though it is on a gay and lesbian-based channel, there is nothing stereotypically gay about the show. It has a compelling cast, beautiful women, hot guys(who aren't shy about showing their goods) and stories that can't be shown and haven't been shown on TV in the states.I would say more......but that would be telling. if you have satellite, check out HERE-TV and watch the show. Trust me there is nothing "gay" about the show-not that gay is bad-anyway, watch it you'll like it....Later.

I watched once cause i was curious but when i saw Allen Altman that plays Billy Hunter i was hooked, he is mesmerizing especially when playing off Rose and his sister... and sexy as hell! Then i kept watching and discovered the intrigue and crazy plot twists and really could not wait to see the weeks that followed.I really hope this show is going to be seen in the U.S because all my buddies would love it. I went online and found a picture of Billy and emailed it to my sister she is now hooked on the show and agrees with me about how delicious he is but she also likes the bitch character and thinks Billy and the her will end up together. I think Billy should marry Rose. I look forward to another season to find out .

Paradise Falls debuted with strong advertising last summer. I always look forward to watching the double episodes Monday nights. Those Canadians lucky enough to get it, should watch it some time. It's quite good.Comparable with Melrose Place or any other primetime drama - Paradise Falls has it all. Murder, mystery, mayhem. It's storylines are drawn out but quickly displayed. While it has all the necessary elements of a nightly "soap", it also has that noticeable Canadian atmosphere to it - which can be good or bad..The acting is good, cheesy at times - an error of script, not skill. Characters are well played out, and there is strong contrast of good and bad people. You like the ones you should, you hate the ones you should.I understand that this is only a half year show, it will end evantually with no plans for more that I've heard of. The finale will no doubt be good, and a tad sad as we will never see the show again. I would be up for more.If you get Showcase, if you are free Monday nights - take a look at this Canadian show. Perhaps you'll be hooked and want to venture into Paradise Falls.RY
