Btexxamar I like Black Panther, but I didn't like this movie.
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
dgordon-1 I am not a big fan of cartoons anymore, but "Hey Monie" is the exception to the rule. The animation is actually worse than "Rocket Robin Hood" and "The Archies", but by no means does this take away from the sheer fun of this show. The friendship between Monie & Yvette, plus the rich cast of characters and their interactions towards one another, make it a show that doesn't seem like a cartoon, but more like a real-life situation comedy. I always like to try and catch it on BET, and I hope one of these days it will be available on DVD!
Larry-115 I came upon this great little show by accident while channel surfing, but I'm glad I did. It'll put you in the mind of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" filtered through "Doctor Katz, Prefessional Therapist." Monie is an attractive young woman on her own in a big city, and (generally) patiently suffers the day's little trevails while trying to find love. Yvette is her funny and slightly crazy best friend.Rather than barraging you with non-stop one liners, the show develops Monie's daily experiences in a way we can all relate to, giving up the constant little chuckle for a broader smile from situation to situation, in much the same way the shows previously mentioned did.Angela Shelton and Frances Collier voice the main characters, and their rapid-fire, witty banter is just pure enjoyment to listen to. They are very appealing leads.Try to catch it on BET if you can -- it's worth the half hour. The show features African-American characters but is great fun for all. Apparently it's featured on Oxygen too.
DominqueZarinha I didn't see the first episodes that aired on BET but after time passed, I caught onto it and I actually liked it. You could say it mostly relates to black women. "Hey Monie" is about a woman named Simone (Voiced by Angela Shelton) a.k.a. Monie who just puts up the day to day trials and tribulations of a black woman. I like Chad. He has a huge crush on Simone and she knows this too. Luis, he's the type of guy who acts full of himself but still looks good. I love watching this show and I hope BET would continue to air it because it's all right. It makes me laugh and it's fun to watch.
