hdokubo A bit sceptical at first after the first couple of episodes. Then l realised that it is essential to understand each family character and their extended family relationship to really get to the crux of the show. Boy the dialogue hits you like a sledgehammer and some interesting scenes, even comedy and tense drama from these well selected actors. Enjoying the show as it really does do its best to stand out from usual new drama run of mill shows - this show takes risk

emboquet The biggest flaw of IMDb is the ability to rate a "series" based on a single episode. The majority of low ratings on this show were posted after just a week or two of the season. Especially for a new, intelligent show, this is an unfair process and unfortunately deters people from amazing shows! Rate an episode, rate a season, rate a show. I think we can handle that IMDb! World and character building shouldn't have to happen in a pilot so much that a series risks losing a fan base based on a "slow" first couple episodes. I liked the first two episodes, but since then I have loved the show more each week. From the outside it doesn't seem hysterical, but it is. It doesn't seem like you will like a single character, but you learn to love/hate them all as the story progresses. Succession is by far my favorite new show of 2018. I highly recommend you watch the first five episodes or so before even forming an opinion on the series rating. It will creep up on you- how much you are growing to love this show- it is a truly entertaining hour each week. I only wish there were ten more episodes ready right now, the season went so quickly! I look forward to rewatching it start to finish several times before next year.This is a fantastic, complicated show that is darkly funny, sometimes flat-out funny, but always entertaining as hell.
