musicbefit OK, I don't know if this will be a super long review but bear with me. The plot jumps around but if you have a WILD imagination like me than you'll love it even more than the average viewer. Gungrave is about Brandon Heat, a man that grows up in a small group of friends, a gang you might call it. He meets Maria, a blonde girl with a loving father who does not like anyone in their friend group. Brandon protects Maria as she is his love interest. His best friend, Harry Mcdowell is going into a far bigger industry of crime. He wishes to take over. I won't spoil it but this anime doesn't force you to hate the bad guys, like Star Wars made you hate the "Sith". I didn't like that so I LOVED this anime. 10/10 I RECOMMEND!

black-32147 Amazing anime, amazing story and build up and then a perfect ending for it...I have no complaints whatsoever. Full of feels and a solid built story, too good that it feels underrated cuz it didn't make a big hit I guess..but if you haven't seen this awesomeness anime yet just ignore the 8.1 rating and go watch it cuz it's much better than that...would 100% recommend this!

sonszak All I can say is wow!!! This show was great and I was just so moved by the film and all of its characters. I am normally not a big fan of anime and their shows but this show has one of the most powerful if not the most powerful story lines I have ever seen or read. The mafia story is terrific and Brandon's character is just simply amazing. Also Harry's ambition to be at the top is just so realistic. The way his character morphs from some ambitious punk that just wants to be king of the streets to being one of the most powerful and well respected men in the world. The setting is phenomenal and the emotional death scenes are so touching that they almost bought to tears after each time that I watched them. This series is one of the best that I, and many of my friends, have ever seen. I recommend this to anyone who can get past the fact it is animated and take the story into account and realize that not all cartoons are just meant for children.

nebsu_7 this is one of my favorite anime shows my top favorite it's stylish and as a lot of drama and tons of action. It has that mafia look and the action will blow you away, I like the storyline and the plot. Gungrave is like a mix of trigun,spawn,and the sopranos. It also has some of gun fu action involved. It's awesome how they captured this mafia look and style in this anime show, and if you like trigun this is for you because the creator of trigun made this show, Yashiro Nightow. It has a cool look on the mafia organization also like what they're like and positions in the mafia, the way they dress and the way they act,as Brandon becomes the number one hit-man and Harry becomes one of the top executives nothing can stop them from getting to top of the ladder of success.
