Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

LGBen The first season of Empire was entertaining ... now it is just silly/stupid - no longer worth watching. The characters have become too extreme. Racist portrayals are disturbing. For a family that supposedly is close, there is far too much back stabbing and maneuvering - especially since they are portrayed as being hoodlum-like. One expects more character elimination and less soap opera drama. Without major improvements, I don't expect Empire to last much longer. BORING AND TEDIOUS.

Johnny Chan The first couple episode of Empire seemed a little bit inconsistent with the cutting of scenes. Luckily its good story has captured many's attentions and made them to continue following this show. Soon it got really good and interesting.Empire presents a fancy and quite realistic goals for many African- Americans. Dress in nice clothes, having good food, living a high life are indeed the goals for most ordinary people, especially for black people as let's face it, the average income and social status of black people are significantly lower than that of the white folks, on average. But Empire paints a dream for the people, even though it is certainly not a perfect life but it contains many components that one would want.I like many viewers of this show, like Cookie very much. She is talented yet crazy sometimes but she always mean good. Well, not always but most of the times. Her love towards her kids are unconditional and that is very real for any people with high or low social status. Her presence became a bit weaker in season 3A. Hopefully she will fly high again in this show. Looking forward to it.

dana drigo From the very first season, Empire has done nothing but deliver. This show just sucks you in and you cannot help but to be Team Cookie. Taraji had my heart from Baby Boy. As far as I can tell, the role of Cookie was tailored just for her. She has a loyalty about her that you just cannot fake.I love how all of the characters interact. There is a genuine rapport and, if you didn't know any better, you would swear they were all truly related. It's fun to watch and each season gets deeper into what made each character into the "person" they are today.I think the only thing this show is missing is a few Caribbean and AfroPop/AfroBeat artists on the Empire Records lineup. There are so many talented indie artists like Naomi Achu and seasoned artists like Jah Cure, who I would love to see represented.American music, in my opinion, is founded on the generous mix of culture. I hope future seasons of Empire tap into these other genres of music.Hats of to Lee Daniels and his team of writers and producers!LaDana Drigo

dhruv chopra What makes empire so good is that no TV show/movie like it exists. The concept of the show is so raw and so unique. The show might contain some clichés in it but that doesn't prevent it from having such a strong plot. There is no limit as to the money spent on the sets and costume or showing the lavish lifestyle of the characters and so it automatically has a rich feel to it. Season 2 is so much better than Season 1 and my advice is that everyone should must watch it. Also the acting is superb by all the characters and the songs are really amazing !
