invisibleunicornninja When I was younger and in the target audience of this garbage, I enjoyed watching a few episodes before quickly getting bored and annoyed. I don't understand the "its just for kids" mentality when people make shows for young children. It might just be me, but even as a 3-year-old, I was annoyed at how the obnoxious pauses where I was supposed to talk to a fictional characters dragged down the already shallow story. Based on the other reviews, I can see I'm not the only one who finds this shallow nonsense stupid. If you're a parent looking for a show to sit your kid in front of, there are better ones than this. Its not educational or interesting. Its dull and repetitive and treats children like idiots. Also the animation is pretty lazy. Even as a child I wondered why all the roads and logs and trees looked almost identical.

nathanelmer terrible. Dora is really about a young girl and her annoying monkey,who go on adventures and run into a thief who is a fox. Mainly,my first complaint about it is the writing.do not say ''this is just a preschooler targeted show''. I do not want to hear it. the ''adventures'' in every episode are boring,simple tasks. Sometimes,they try to make a adventure,but still,BOOORING. I hate Dora. The next problem is the educational purpose. IT makes episodes plots boring and very irritating. Next is the characters. some of them are annoying,and some show kids bad examples,such as Swiper. The last and longest problem is... the lack of enjoyment. IT is not funny. Like many shows,like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, replace humor with these terrible interactive portions. These were invented to make the kid think they could talk to the TV. Parents should just ban their kids from watching this. a pile of garbage, and this does not deserve good reviews

anthony-rigoni Get ready for a kiddie cartoon that's so horrendous, so annoying, and so awkwardly bad that it would make The Magic Voyage less noisy. I am indeed talking about Dora the Explorer, a TV show that is still on Nickelodeon's made for kids block, "Nick Jr.".The TV Series features Dora, a Hispanic girl who goes on adventures with her monkey friend, Boots, and other characters such as Benny the Bull and sometimes Diego. How can I describe how bad this TV Series is? HORRENDOUSLY BAD!!! Dora is an idiot who constantly asks the audience where this thing is or that thing is and... COME ON, YOU BRAT!! You're the one with the freaking map, why ask me?!! In the middle of each episode, there's a fox named Swiper who gets a chance of stealing Dora's stuff. In order to stop Swiper, Dora and Boots say "Swiper, no swiping" three times and then he goes away.... Oh sure, like saying "Swiper, no swiping" would make a serial killer or a pedophile go away. HE OR SHE WILL KILL YOU INSTEAD OF GOING AWAY!!!! As an excuse of trying to be educational(I'm using that word loosely), it throws a few Spanish words in it. If I want to learn Spanish, I'll take a Spanish class at school(Which, mind you, I already did). During the episodes, they sing about everything they do. What is this, Dora the Explorer the Musical?!! This isn't the Music Man! This isn't Singin' in the Rain!! This is Dora the Freaking Explorer!!! At the end of each episode, Dora and Boots ask the audience what their favorite part of the episode is. Do you want to know what my favorite part is? Well, my favorite part is when a group of cannibals grab Dora by the legs, gang-rape her, and kill her while they circumcise Boots and eat him alive. I know it sounds disturbing and I know it didn't happen in the show, but that is my point on how annoying and stupid Dora the Explorer is!!! How the numb-nuts at Nickelodeon still kept this animated nightmare running, I don't know. All the characters are nincompoops, this show never shuts up, telling burglars to go away by saying "Swiper, no swiping!" will not work in real life, and this show will treat your kids like snotty-nosed idiots! Bottom Line: If you ever see Dora the Explorer, change the channel and don't buy the DVDs!!! This TV show is muy estupido(That's Spanish for very stupid)!

Jesseloveshockey I know it's werid to review a 4 year old show but, it's so bad I need to review it. First off the plot is terrible, Dora needs to get something stupid like ice cream, what's worse is she always has to get past three places which are stupid and random like a lake. The characters are just werid like Dora's interesting monkey friend, who wears boots and he's just there to say where is it when Dora ask you where's the place there looking for and it's right in front of her. Swiper the fox steals, so then how do you stop him? In Dora's world saying no stealing will mean he will not steal. But in reality she would get killed. So do you want your children learning this crap ? I think no. It gets worse because Dora teaches Spanish why the hell do are children need to learn Spanish when were in America. The songs are just plain and horrible like the map song which the map repeats 6 times which get on your nerves. When Dora gets what she whats she acts like a moron.Oh yeah how could I forget Dora shouts at her audience treating them as stupid. Your young kids will scream at the TV by watching Dora. Make your kids watch Sesame Street rather.
