pgrossgart I don't know why, but this might be my favorite comedy. The awkwardness of the characters, the need to belong, the complete unconcern about being " the other - this is the best written and acted comedy series I can think of.The first episode was...not enthralling; will this be another "make fun of the nerds" show? By the second, I was intrigued - hooked by the third. By the end of the third series, I was desperate for more.

nikki-hmm This show does not boast about itself in any way so you will stop watching it if you don't pay attention. It seems to go on at a slow pace and it is an acquired taste for sure. It has some British TV/life references so you may connect more if you've lived in the UK. Having said all that, as someone who's relatively new to Britain, I loved it. It's not a funny ha-ha comedy (where you can switch off your brain) but the full experience which will leave you with a smile. The things I like about it are: 1. I've gained some knowledge about stuff that I didn't know existed, 2. the setting is usually a green countryside field, 3. the theme song is fab, and 4. all the characters. Give it a go!

jritchey-06659 Gentle, sweet, and warmly executed. From the writing to the acting, the photography to the music it is top notch in every respect. Perhaps my favorite television series!
