    MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
plex This dramedy is about as real as it gets. No pretension, superb cast. Deliberate in its delivery, and nearly always some very poignant message usually ensconced in love, compassion and family. This show wisely avoids Hollywood clichés like Californication and Episodes, so even though the protagonist is a Hollywood actress, they treat her career like anyone else's: no celebrity or entitlements. The love from the mother,Pam Adlin, often very tough at times, is so thick its palpable. She works hard at everything she does and always has her children's best-interest at heart. I have loved every episode, a few made me cry. This show pulls no punches nor truncates itself, the language and topics are often stark and riddled with expletives. This is not a show a child should watch without their parents, but rather be guided through. There is much wisdom here. Ignore the negative reviews, I read them, they failed to get the point of this wonderful show.
mary_javidi pure, beautiful, honest every day stories and yet so artistic and very well written and played. the world needs more of this. this show has made me to look differently into my life and my relationships specially with my mum. its like i have lived many many of those moments that i watch and somebody just shed a light on what has really been happening. so happy there will be a third season. can not wait for it. well done every body. bless you
he88 I've watched two episodes and while I was waiting for the story to become entertaining...It was over. Both times I felt ripped off. I expected more than just a hunk of a day in someone's life....I think I can understand why so many women like this. It most likely is identifiable to them in one way or other so they get into it. I'm tuning in to be entertained because the snippets used in the commercials for the show made me think it was a comedy....A few one liners around 45 minutes of just someone making it through a day or the star just looking in thought like she's thinking "How did I get here?" Is not a comedy. It's not really a drama either. It really is like a "Reality" show of someone's life. And I've never found those entertaining
saralbuchanan-88704 I just found this series after watching an interview with Louis CK on a late night talk show. So, I thought I'd check it out.I watched all the available episodes back to back and, like another reviewer, I hardly ever binge watch anything. This was excellent through and through. Well written, REAL, moving, honest, and sweet. This scenario is spot on for many single mothers, like myself. I laughed, and I cried a lot. But mostly, I'm grateful that someone is finally hitting the real deal about single parenting. My kids are adults now, however, this show has given me an opportunity to reflect-- the good, the bad, and ugly.In the same manner that I don't binge watch TV shows, I also have never written a review about a TV show. I felt compelled to reach out and say thank you to everyone involved with the show -- most especially the writers and producers.
