    Solidrariol Am I Missing Something?
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
tavikitty Michael Nyqvist carries the entire show and he is the only reason I continued to watch beyond the first episode. I gave it three more stars than I would have, had it not been for his tremendous and realistic acting achievement, despite everyone around him acting like weird, awkward robots. I wanted to give him ten stars, but the show is truly awful and the rating needs to reflect that.I am sad to say I don't really have many positive things to say about anything or anyone involved in this project other than Michael Nyqvist. When they decided to make a show in Sweden, why did they not hire local people for the production? As a person who has lived in Stockholm my entire life, it was ridiculous how it was shot and how they altered environments instead of working with what the city actually looks like. The approach was very Americanized and "Hollywood", which makes me wonder why they even wanted to shoot in in Sweden or use a bunch of Swedish dialogue, since it seems to have been exclusively aimed at an American audience.I feel like they tried to ride the coat tails of popular Scandinavian shows and somehow replicate the mood and the success, but along with other shows that have failed to do this, they lacked understanding of what makes those shows what they are. For a good example of a successful international production look at Bron, which is amazing partly because it respects the culture and behaviours of the various characters portrayed in the show - Swedish people act like Swedes, Danish people act like Danes and the exteriors as well as interiors mirror the way people actually live in respective places, making it very organic and believable. Everything that 100 Code was not.P.S. It might have worked if they had a plot twist where it turned out that most of the characters where aliens or androids, since it would explain why most people apart from Mikael and hos daughter were being so stiff, emotionless and weird all the time.. D.S.
nilpost This series mimics the Scandi detective genre -- unsuccessfully. The characters are superficial mongrels possessing traits, flaws and back stories that look like they've been selected from a cheap 'write your own Scandi detective show' manual. Shallow in every respect -- the characterisations of the main detectives and the boss are cringe-worthy. The acting is abysmal too -- but given the script there's not much scope to demonstrate any real acting talent. No insights to be gained from watching this. Dreadful.
kgabcsistah I was not going to write a review but seeing some bad ones I have to add mine. This series is only second best to Broen, which is forever top1, especially the 3rd series. The atmosphere, the faded, dark colors and Ms Helin are just The Best. Here, the Swedish actors are - again - very good, unlike the American guy who tells his lines like he was reading them. But that's nothing new, most of the time American "B" actors sound better, dubbed by a real actor of the language the film is dubbed in. Anyway, the series start relatively slow, but it picks up amazingly around ep5 and concludes.... wow. The script, how the tension is built up, how you start worrying for some characters although you may not like them make it a must watch.
leo_diva The first half hour of the first episode was just a succession of clichés and I was about to turn it off then something happened and it started to get better. By the end of the second episode I was beginning to enjoy it and by the end of the third I was waiting for the next episode or should I say I am waiting for the forth because here in France it all started last night.I love seeing Stockholm and the countryside a nice change!! So I do recommend this series for anyone who enjoys horrible people killing in horrific ways.As a jogger it makes you think when you get ready to go out in the morning!
