DipitySkillful an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
vickydanville I thought with a few decent actors that this film held promise but sadly no. It was shocking how they can kill so many yet not a hair gets out of place or a drop of blood on weapons or clothes, one character wearing a white jacket and boots looks like she has just stepped out of the salon. Come on guys attention to detail . The characters were likable and the acting was not that bad but the story line and zombies were poor and weak the makeup was over the top. Not a film to watch even if your bored and got nothing to do. Im sure this is one film these actors would like to put behind them. Id be interested to know how much they were paid for this.
jlthornb51 Gifted director Nick Lyon has brought to the screen one of the most effective films of this type in decades. Much more than a motion picture about a "zombie apocalypse," this is an existential study of humanity facing the end of life as we know it. The characterizations are beautifully written and stunning played by an exceptional cast, with Ving Rhames and Taryn Manning particularly superb. Uniquely lensed on location in Los Angeles, the cinematography is breathtaking and gives the film a powerfully dark, murky look that helps create an overwhelming atmosphere of terror and dread. In many ways, the overall theme is much like something from Greek mythology and reflects a literate attitude and sensibility unusual in any film, let alone a horror movie. A tremendously moving, frightening, and thoughtful exercise in finding meaning when much of life's significance has been diminished by fate.
Claudio Carvalho Three small groups of survivors of a zombie plague join forces to reach the ferry boat to a sanctuary that they are not sure that it does exist in the Catalina Island. Along their journey, they are hunted down by hordes of zombies and only a few of them survive. "Zombie Apocalypse" is a lame, predictable and corny low-budget TV movie by Syfy channel. The story is poorly written based on the above storyline, with zombies that can run. The characters prefer to walk under siege of dozen of zombies instead of driving a car in the United States of America. The moralist fate of Henry was absolutely predictable. The special effects are very simple and there are many sequence errors in the edition. My vote is three.Title (Brazil): Not Available
bringamac ****WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT*************This Movie had really bad ratings all over. a lot of people did not like it for Various Reasons. I kinda went into watching this movie knowing not to expect much, after all it is a straight to TV movie. Or a some like to Call them "B Grade" Flicks. But I liked it, It was pretty good for those of us fans of the Genre. Pros: 1. I was truly shocked as to how well this movie did being it had a TV Movie Budget. 2. The filming of the Location was decent, or at least they tried to make the same neighborhood used throughout the Movie Apocalyptic. 3. The actors played their parts OK, their acting wasn't Academy Worthy, but definitely a lot better than most other TV (Especially SyFy Movie actors lol) 4. The overall story was written out pretty well, it wasn't a movie that was hard to follow like other Zombie Films.Cons: 1. The CGI was Horrible!, I don't want to be such a critique but my oh my it was bad. But I constantly have to remind myself that this isn't Zombieland, or 28 Days/Weeks Later. 2. They seem to have used the same extras for zombies over and over lmao. 3. The filming location was obviously the same through out the movie, They keep mentioning wanting to get to Catalina Island yet it seems they keep circling Catalina Ct. 4. The makeup on some of the extras was pretty bad, and some zombies could have apparently ran in the Olympics... 5. This list could go on.I'll end it like this, if you like the Zombie Genre, or Horror/Thriller/Comedy. Check this one out but take it with a grain of salt. I give this film an 8 for trying across all over the board, most other notable actors:when making a low budget film. Do a purposely horrible job, not this cast or crew. 8 out of 10 on a "B Grade" Scale... but on a normal big time Hollywood scale this movie deserves the 4 haha..Cheers my friends.
