It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

When the first time they announced there will be another sequel for ADA APA DENGAN CINTA I was excited but when I saw the movie I was super disappointed because there are scenes that needed to be taken off. Such as when Rangga walk about new York city through Brooklyn. I think it had nothing to do with the plot. because people can see those scenes like 2-3 times. I understand that the writer trying to visualize the new York city. But I guess they can do it in the smart way without put some of unnecessary scene. Such as a couple shots of time square or upper east side landmarks and change to Brooklyn bridge and queens area. I think they're enough. The second one is, less intrigue and twist because I was expecting more complicated conflict such as Cinta being kidnapped by his fiancé because He's mad after caught Rangga walk out of the door from Cinta's gallery and Rangga came to save the day because He is willing to do anything even to risk his life only to save the Girl he loves. Or maybe something more thrilling. So people can follow the ups and down of emotion during the movie so they don't get bored like I did. The romance in the other hand is taking my breath away when Rangga and Cinta going on adventure around Yogyakarta all night long. But that's it.. The rest of the movie is really flat.. Because weak script, lack of character building and less of emotion so I thing 2 hours is too long.

If you watched the first movie, you'll be happy and dragged into the story. It's kinda nostalgic, since the last movie was out about more a decade ago. But if this the first time you watch this, you'll be confused about their story, how it was begin and end up like this. The movie totally romantic, you'll see nice views between Brooklyn and Yogyakarta (apparently Jakarta didn't get any large portion on this movie). As i said before, you'll get along to the story, and will go deeper questioning what's going on between them after all this time? You'll be happy to see then again, i promise you. You'll miss about Alya (Ladya Cheryl) and you'll shocked after you found out about her later on.For me, honestly i'm glad that they made this movie. It satisfied my curiosity. They're doing great for this movie, even there's new characters come, and a old characters are gone. Recommended for you who like the old movie. And if you haven't see the first AADC, i suggest you to watch that first before you planning to watch this movie.

So, first things first I'll say feel free to judge this movie as you see fit as I will judge this one from my point of view as a pretty die hard fan.Let's speak frankly here, first of course the movie isn't perfect. Heck it's not even close to the first one. Why? Because the condition is not like what it used to be. We're not here to see "Geng Cinta" as a bunch of happy and innocent high school girls. They are adults now.Second, I agree that it felt a bit rushed in the production, bunch of plothole and all. Still though, for me you can't cover all those years lost in Rangga and Cinta's love life in just about 1 hour and 45 minutes.Third, well I do miss Alya as she was the one who tied the gang and still supporting Cinta to chase after Rangga and made all of this possible. Because she can't join the shooting she was written out of the second movie, well I can't blame the crews though, they have schedule as well here, so that's that. A shame, but the shooting must go on.Lastly, "it's too much drama". Well IT IS A DRAMA MOVIE, so don't complain about the amount of drama in the movie, instead I'll say this: How they handle the drama is actually not bad. Yes it's cheesy but isn't that what romance movie does? Creating a cheesy situation and then end it with a fluttering romance in your hearts? And I must say that they did it pretty good.Oh and 1 more thing that I love from AADC 2 is that the product placement isn't that much disturbing, it is proportionally placed and actually feels pretty natural. Also I love the Soundtrack, Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed did a decent job again in the series, well done! So, I would recommend the movie to others, first and foremost to the ones that had watched the prequel. For me it's 8/10.

When i watch this movie the 1st time. I expected more from the director and script writer. but end up the movie become a comedy romance movie. Cutting tempo were really distract me. The only best moment of this movie is the 45 min that rangga and cinta spending together. Other then that the story line too flat to me. Why rangga mom need to be in side the frame and its become like the big title. we understand that this movie is to answer all the question that we have before. Its have the answer but not in this kind of way. Maybe Riri Riza don't look deep into the AADC1 where the sweet and things that we want to see. To many cliché on this movie. Hope if there a continue of this and better then this.
