Reviews
Inclubabu Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Leofwine_draca TRIAL BY FIRE is a TV movie spin-off of the long-running WALKER, TEXAS RANGER TV series starring the one and only Chuck Norris. I haven't watched the show (unfortunately), but this film feels like a cross between a typical Norris movie and a typical PERRY MASON mystery. Half of it is a detective story and the other half a courtroom drama. The story has a bunch of North Koreans (!) on the hunt for a military computer processor that can be used to arm missiles to attack the US. They kill anyone who gets in their way, and Norris follows the bodies. For Norris fans, there isn't as much action as you'd hope, and he only gets to take part in two or three fight scenes, mostly at the end of the film. He's pretty obviously doubled too. The rest is average TV fodder, with melodrama and slight overacting, but it's fast enough that it's not boring, just cheesy.
rocknjo1 I'm a huge fan of Chuck Norris and Walker, Texas Ranger. In fairness I have to rate "Trial by Fire" an 8. Although it's a 10 to me, we have to admit that the entire series was less than top-notch technically. I just finished watching the final 2-hour episode of the series and was reminded of an unresolved problem for the Walker series. In the final episode, Walker has a vision which shows he and Alex wishing a "happy birthday" to their teen-age daughter. This being the case, then Alex could not be dead, as we are left to guess at in "Trial by Fire". There needs to be one more movie to tie up all the loose ends. Also, as long as it needs to be done anyway, make sure you bring back Jimmy for a large role.
sfitzgeral I missed Nia Peebles and Trivet. When will this Walker movie be on again? I would LOVE to see more Walker episodes. Alex and Walker are a really magic together couple. Gage & Sydney Cook are also magic but in a different way. Sydney was sorely missed. She has some movements for the fight scenes that are truly unique and she is wonderful with Gage. I would like to see more of her. I like Alex & Walker the best. It was a shame that CD had to be killed off when the series was on. CD would have been a good character here. Of course "Uncle Ray" is good too. It would be neat to see Gage & Sydney get involved. There were some hints at it in the series...those two really seem like they would make a good pair.
Jason Taylor I would give it a 10 for this 2 hour show. I liked the action they put in there and it showed lots of martial arts fights and those Korean guys had some speed in their arts. The sad part was that Alex got shot and we as audience don't know for sure if she died or just down unconsciously. At one time Alex got shot during a wedding and Walker wanted to ask her something (marry him) but never occurred until she stayed in the hospital a few days. Remember that show? I can't remember the name of the show right now but she did recover from that wound. Now Walker walked out of the building as soon as Alex got shot. The guy that shot her and he was in several episodes and I SERIOUSLY thought he got killed in the last season episode...didn't he? or was he acting a different character this time? Also I thought before Alex got shot, she expressed confusion because that guy that shot her came back to life or something. But then the wound appeared on TV, it was blood and then I just couldn't believe it. Walker couldn't have heard the shot from outside the building and that is why he didn't come back in quickly. I do hope that he'll come back to film a few more of Walker shows. I read the article that he said he wouldn't mind making 1 or 2 shows per year but it all depends on how much his wife and kids need him. Family is more important than anything right now especially the kids are so young and they depend on parents...Even though we as audience really would love to see Walker for another 8 years! ha...I would. He'll be in his 70's if he continued for another 8 years.....Also the good thing was that he had a new office and it looked so modern and spread out. Nice pad for CAPTAIN. Also big Windows that has great view of Downtown Dallas instead of Downtown Ft. Worth. It was time for a change and also nice Dodge Ram Hemi and other cars. It was nice change and its time to hope and pray that he'll either do another series or just another show soon.
