Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
haphazard72 Just watched this while on a train trip- hang onto your seats for a couple of hours of mad, crazy speed in an amazing setting! This is very similar to Journey to Le Mans in that it follows a number of characters (competitors), however with a focus on one in particular and his efforts to go from a odious finish, to a win.I won't give it away, suffice to say the ending was not what I expected, and because I know next to nothing about the race itself, hadn't seen or heard any of the events shown in this movie. (Is it a movie or a documentary????)I've worked with Formula 1 cars for a few years and this type of race absolutely astounds me! It has nowhere near the safety and control that the F1's or MotoGP races have, yet they travel at these insane speeds that are comparable! It's just crazy to watch this event! Well, worth the watch regardless of what type of racing you're into. The cinematography was great- some really good footage, particular the rider cams.As I said, hang onto your seat....
Daniel Howarth Being a huge fan of the Isle of Man TT since Moving to the Island in 2008, I was highly looking forward to this film. I went to the cinema to watch it the day it released, and Pre-Ordered the DVD as early as I could. I was happy to see a good turn out of people while queuing for our screen, which is something not normally accomplished by a biking or Motorsport in general related film.Once we were in and the lights dimmed, we were all immediately hurled into the lives of the riders, Spectators and organizers of the TT. The Atmosphere was electrifying and the 3D was superbly pulled off. I sat in absolute awe as I was tossed through turns, surrounded by the noises of the machines that I love. I felt the nerves of the riders as they built up to the races and the Elation of each as they Flew at breakneck speeds through the twists and turns of the TT circuit. Suddenly though I was hit by the shock, and the feeling of dread as terrifying incidents take place.Overall the film transfers across the feelings of the riders and spectators in a truly tremendous fashion, often leaving you speechless. This film is a must watch for any biking enthusiast. That being said there is absolutely No reason to not go and see this even if you are not normally attracted to the sport. The film Shows the humanity that is involved in any sport that comes with risk, and shows how people cope with the loss of fellow riders or loved ones. This film shows the true strength of the human spirit and the willingness to risk life and limb for what you truly love doing. The point is raised that anyone who has died doing this, knows the risks, and has passed Happily doing what the Love. The message to take from this film is to live life to its fullest. Live it doing what you Enjoy most. Even if that means Living life on the edge.
alex-beadle I have lived on the Isle of Man all my life but have never really taken much of an interest in the TT (I've watched a few races but I usually have exams during TT week), this film made this years TT very exciting! The film follows legendary TT maverick Guy Martin and a few other riders as they prepare for (and race in) the 2010 TT, even if you know nothing about motorbikes you'll quickly be engaged by the likable Guy Martin and the adrenaline fueled footage of racing. "TT3D" quickly introduces you to an exciting subculture in which riders race not for financial gain but for the thrill of traveling at over 120 mph on one of the most dangerous courses in the world. The documentary not only demonstrates the thrill of the sport but also explores the danger which the riders face and the consequences of when it all goes wrong. The real attraction though has to be the race footage; This film is what 3D was made for! "TT3D" will have you on the edge of your seat in a way in which high-budget Hollywood CGI could never come close to! I really could not recommend this film enough, whether you're a hardened TT veteran or a motor sport virgin you're sure to walk out the cinema as a serious petrol head!
babarpapa This is an outstanding study into the psychology and mindset of sportsmen who push themselves to the limit (sometimes paying the ultimate price) in this legendary race. In much the same way you didn't have to be a tightrope walker to enjoy 'Man on Wire', don't make the mistake of thinking you have to be a motorcycle fan to enjoy this film. The pacing and editing is first rate, and the on board action is heart stoppingly exciting. You have to keep telling yourself that the film is not sped up, and that they really are riding through those narrow streets at up to 200mph. The film is at times hilarious, exciting, tragic and life affirming. An amazing piece of work and highly recommended.
