Reviews
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
kjc_ahmed I often rate films but rarely write a review. With The Week Of I just felt I had to add a few lines to my 2* rating. This film is dire. I've always loved Adam Sandler films and Chris Rock is usually good for a laugh but this film is so disjointed, forced and just not funny. I couldn't finish it.
verymae Annoying, over the top stupid. There's a limit to how long a joke can be carried on before it just gets on your nerves.
Rahyar Taghipoor The Week Of was a surprise consider how the reviews buried this movie. Adam Sandler has always been the face of mindless comedy for the sake of stupid laughter to me which is ok. But when he reigns in all that cringe comedy to mix it with heartfelt story like "Click" or "50 first date" or "Just go with it" that is when I really enjoy his works, of course this movie has some of his touches (like a really baffling cameo of Sandler as his own grandmother in the film which to me was very much unnecessary) but in its entirety this movie was a lot of fun to watch. I was laughing through out the movie and that is some thing that happens rarely with most of the Hollywood comedies for me (technically this is not a hollywood film so maybe that is the reason?), the comedy was in many parts was genuine generated by the wacky situation he was in and in some parts was the over the top Sandler stuff and yet it was funny because the balance was there, I was invested throughout the film in what will happen to this family and at the end I enjoyed the way they finished the film. It was not supposed to be a big philosophical revelation, it was supposed to be a weird but very much plausible real life situation. Yet another movie that has proved to me that most reviews are never anything but bandwagon praise or hate.
ramsses10 What happened to the Adam sandler of The wedding singer or water boy??Each of his films is worse than the previous
