SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
GUENOT PHILIPPE It seems that this TV movie is s sort of pilot for a TV show. Not the kind of stuff that could have been shown in France anyway, despite the presence of the likes of Gig Young and John Savage. The latest was not known yet in France, before DEER HUNTER. Well this one: TURNING POINT OF JIM MALLOY, is not a bad drama, with some Horace McCoy's novels atmosphere from time to time. Young is pretty impressive, a Oscar winning scale performance and as good as the one he had in THEY SHOOT HORSES...The typical feature that Gilroy made or produced at his peak; offbeat and very intelligent.
