It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

I like class(y) stories. I like depictions (of people and/or situations, even whole towns that might be involved. This story or should I say idea, sounds more than intriguing. And the actors play very well also.So what don't I like about it? I think it is a little over it's head here. It tries much and packs a whole lotta story in here, but never succeeds to deliver fully. Yes occasionally you feel more than intrigued, although truth be told the overall feeling is that you don't care as much for the father as you should have. It's a nice drama then, that is a little over packed, but then again most liked it here, so you might want to give it a shot! don't forget the slow moving pace!

Overall, I found it an OK movie, but only if you are willing to follow to the end. Cinema goers with only entertainment on their mind will find it hard to stay focused. Though the story is not that complicated, writer Ward Hulselmans performed kind of the same trick as he did with the series "Stille Waters". Pose the question (what happened to the little girl?), give some clues, turn away to a different problem that has seemingly less to do with the actual plot and bringing it all together in the end. But that's fine, De Bouw and Peeters were terrific and newcomer Neuville shows some great talent. It is a pity though that the southern part of Belgium (Wallonia) has become a foreign and hostile land in the collective Flemish mind. And this film (together with Calvaire) doesn't really improve that image.

latest film with koen de bouw and other "famous" belgian stars of the with screen. the trouble with this movie is that there are flemish actors acting in the french language which is not nice! but hey we are after all considering belgian film right... anyway i did not like this movie too much not to say i disliked it in total. acting performances were good according to belgian standards but the script was not any use what soever. and this still reads like a major understatement. if the director would have treated himself on a new set of scissors i might have have been milder on his judgement! on the other hand i do believe this is his first performance on the big screen and i hope he will learn from this one.

I've seen this movie in World Avant Premiere two days ago and it was great!! What else did you expect, with some of the best Belgian actors in it?! The story is built up slowly, but going on you will do some surprising discoveries - nothing is what it seems. In a little village in the Ardennen there are 4 clans/families and they don't like 'intruders' (='indringers') and when Tom (Koen De Bouw) arrives to find out where his daughter is, they're all watching him - the eyes are everywhere. What happened to his daughter? What does Charlotte know about her? How did they meet? All urgent questions that will find an answer eventually, after a hunt in the woods.
