FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Fella_shibby This film was on my radar for a very long time. Saw The Invisible Guest (another awesome suspense thriller) directed by the same guy before this film. The director managed to make this film very interesting to watch n the script played a very important role. A very intriguing plotline and a jaw- dropping twist at the end will satisfy Hitchcock fans. Hitchcock wud hav been really proud. I avoided reading too much about this film n i avoided the trailer too n i advise the same to all. The plot in short without any spoilers: A chemist's very rich n older wife dies due to heart attack. The chemist has knowledge about some cardio toxin which can cause heart attack after ingestion without leaving any trace. The chemist is also having an extramarital affair with a young student. Sounds like an open n shut case uh. Wait till u watch this awesome suspense film.
empire331 Arguably one the best movies of this genre I've seen lately. European films are usually love them or hate them, this one is definitely one in the first category. The scenario is full of tension, loads of details that bind the story together and the actors did a really really great job. The twist at the end is of course unpredictable and "delicious". A good movie!
areatw I watch quite a few foreign films and this is exactly why - you often stumble across some real hidden gems. 'El cuerpo', which translates to 'The Body' in English, is a pulsating thriller packed full of excitement, tension and twists that nobody will see coming. Like all good thrillers, it keeps you guessing, teases you with clues... and then rubbishes all of your theories with an unpredictable, spectacular ending. As a thriller, 'El cuerpo' barely puts a foot wrong. The plot is sound and I felt like all the questions I had during the film were answered by the time the credits rolled. The big final twist, in which the mystery is revealed, could be viewed as a bit far-fetched by some, but given how well the rest of the film is put together, it didn't bother me. I was far more irked by the many thriller clichés that this film repeatedly featured (torrential rain, dodgy elevators, flashing lights). But this is the movies after all, and this was a great thriller.
im_shan_i I found this movie in the recommendation part of the page while I was writing a review about "Tell No One", another great movie that had been created based on the novel by "Harlan Coben". the IMDb points had given me high expectation because it was higher than 7 and I'm glad to watch it. It was great movie with shocking end just like what I like to see in the movies or read in the books. full mysterious movies make me stick to the seat and follow every move the characters made till to the end and this movie got great point from me because it is not like most of the movies nowadays we can see in the theaters, which are combination of violence, guns, unbelievable scenes, superhuman heroes, bla, bla, bla. this movie was believable enough to stand alone and get attention. also I have just a small criticism. why didn't the man in custody want and request for a lawyer at all while he needed it so badly? it is one of the mistakes that the director has made, from my viewpoint.
