LastingAware The greatest movie ever!
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Micitype Pretty Good
Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Torrin-McFinn77 I got this on my laptop and watched it for the first time. It was actually pretty good to be honest and I liked how David Warner (of Tron) played a supporting role. Some new faces and a new April O'Neil too made this interesting. As the Turtles get to Dr. Perry, the Shredder has other plans. It's not as good as the first TMNT, but it's pretty good. It's darker than the 1980s to 1990s cartoon but I'll bet that was part of the intention. It'd be closer to the Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird vision. And it worked. The origins of the teen heroes are also explored here. There are some weird moments but otherwise it's not bad.
pburton-21268 This movie is nothing but nostalgia. I have loved this movie since I watched it as a kid. The First and this film are amazing. The third one...doesn't belong.
MissSimonetta When I first saw Secret of the Ooze in 2012, I was disappointed. My old IMDb review gave it a 5/10 and accused it of lacking a plot or any entertainment value at all. I rewatched the film on more of a whim than anything a few days ago-- and was shocked at how much fun I was having! I found the movie boring back in 2012, but now I was laughing and having a good time. I was never bored once. No, Secret of the Ooze is not as good as the first movie, and it is sillier and more child-friendly in tone. But it is enjoyable. Like most good TMNT media, it KNOWS how silly the story is and never takes itself too seriously. And the best part is that the film retained the best part of the first movie: the family relationship between the turtles and Splinter. They still feel like brothers and the movie does have a heart amidst the corny jokes, goofy fights, and the coup de grace of camp: Vanilla Ice's impromptu "Ninja Rap," complete with the most embarrassing fashions of the early 1990s. I think once you get past the fact that this isn't the grittier, darker first film, you can really enjoy Secret of the Ooze for what it is.
joshuadrake-39480 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES II: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE is the second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film in the overall TMNT film franchise. It is the sequel to TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1990),and it is really good and amazing to see this film. The film is commonly abbrieviated as TMNT II and the film is distributed by New Line Cinema and internationally distributed by 20th Century Fox.The film follows the adventures of the four Turtles: Michaelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael and their master, Splinter.Roughly resuming from the original film, the villain, Shredder, returning to New York City to get take back command of the Foot Clan and work towards getting revenge and work towards getting revenge on the Turtles. When he learns the secret behind the Turtles' mutation, he becomes more dangerous than ever. The film sheds some light on the origins of Splinter and the Turtles, as well as introduces two new villains: Tokka and Rahzar.Unlike the original and first film, this one rarely showed the use of Turtles' weapons. They instead fight bare-fisted for much of the film as part of an attempt to tone down some of the violence of the previous movie. The film was March 22, 1991, and received mixed to negative critical reception from critics who felt it departed from the much darker tone of the original 1990 film and was more light-hearted.The story is very coherent and just fantastic, unlike some people says that it is not as good as the first film's story. The action sequences are just amazing and fantastic, especially the action sequence at the end when the Turtles are inside the dance club and that is where Vanilla Ice sings "The Ninja Rap".Nothing is bad about the music and the music in this film is just fantastic and yes, it is composed by John Du Prez and it is just spectacular and just fantastic. The turtles look as good as they did with the other previous film and it is just so amazing. Speaking of Turtles, the voice actors are all good this time.Kevin Clash, Michael McConnohie and Robbie Rist returns in their roles as Splinter, Tatsu and Michelangelo. Corey Feldman played Donatello in the previous film and was replaced by Adam Carl. The other actor who got replaced for Raphael, was Josh Pais, and he was replaced by Laurie Faso. Brian Tochi plays Leonardo and he does a great job again as well.Frank Welker plays the roles of both Tokka and Rahzar and he does a great job with both of them and his performance is so great.Another actor who got replaced was Judith Hoag, who previously played April O'Neill in the first film and Paige Turco took her place and she is amazing in the part. Ernie Reyes, Jr. plays the role of Keno and he is fantastic in his part and just amazingly.Overall, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES II: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE is amazingly well-done and it is just fantastic and good and much better than the first film. This film is an absolute smash-hit, 10/10.
