Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Borgarkeri A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
musicfan-01366 Maybe my expectations were too high but i was really disappointed with this movie. The acting was fine and the premise was great but it just didnt do it for me
hirochen Why do people think this movie is bad? This movie tell us the ambition drives us in the wrong direction. Good
siwyaf This movie is so bad that it should get an Oscar for the worst. I watched it for the Coens' writing but now I know they have to direct a movie too if it is an actual Coen brothers movie. I know Clooney is not that bad a director so why would he put it out? He probably thought that with the Coen name it would automatically make money. Seeing Matt Damon in True Grit is an obvious example of how any actor can look bad in a badly written and directed movie. To use the race card in a movie like this is in bad taste especially with the liberal media bashing of our current President. I wonder if the Coens have reached their limit in making good movies?
Floated2 Suburbicon overall seemed to have been a film in which came and went. The trailers showed a very odd sense which is not much surprise as to why the film was a complete box office flop.Matt Damon does well in his role as an everyday man, one who is hiding many secrets. While Julianne Moore is great in her dual role as wheelchair-bound Rose and Stepford wife wannabe Margaret, who is in love with her brother-in-law. Though with a very short screen time, Oscar Isaac steals the show as the insurance agent investigating Rose's death.Overall, Suburbicon isn't too intriguing though it does get slightly more intriguing once the darkness occurs (as in murders) when everything comes out. Still majority of the film is a missfire and just not worth the complete watch.
