Stomp: Out Loud Trailers

Stomp is a rhythmic, musical extravaganza that has stunned audiences across the globe. If you weren't lucky enough to catch them in your hometown (or you did and you crave more), now there's Stomp Out Loud, a special HBO performance that will bring the unusual musical feats right into your living room. You might just find yourself grabbing a broom or even your remote control to keep time. "It's comedy, it's theater, it's very physical, it's energetic, it's occasionally quite terrifying," says one performer. Taking their show from the theater to the streets, this astonishing troupe can make music out of just about anything and just about anywhere. --Dana Van Nest

Reviews
Kattiera Nana I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
erinshaham This musical video is in a class by itself. Though some have compared it to Riverdance, which was also great, this is different in many obvious ways, the improvised "instruments" for starters. I would rate this "musical" as a "10" all the way.
Robert Morgan I was rather surprised to find this on video- I had seen the stage show twice, and felt that it would be hard to capture the feel of the show in a movie.The producers have done a good job, capturing most of the magic of a Stomp show without (of course) interaction with the audience. Stomp could be classified as a dance troupe, performance art, or industrial-type music, and for the full effect, it's necessary to watch them; that makes this much better than the various soundtracks and albums floating around that have "songs" performed by Stomp.I'd still recommend seeing Stomp live before watching the video; but this is a pretty good substitute.
