Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Leofwine_draca SHERIFF WITH THE GOLD is a murky and unknown addition to the spaghetti western genre that fails to excite with a cheap budget and predictable plotting. There are various steretyped characters present on the screen but all of them feel paper-thin and the lack of a single sympathetic figure hurts this a lot. Once again the plot involves the theft of a gold shipment by various unscrupulous characters plotting against each other. The gold gets robbed by one character and then stolen from that character by another, and so on. I found this set-up more than a little ludicrous. Eventually a lawman sorts everything out and shoots the bad guys. This is a far cry from the kind of films made by Leone, Corbucci, Garrone, and Castellari.
