Am I Missing Something?
Derry Herrera
Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

SCORCHED HEAT is another limited, low rent horror film from Sweden, with almost exactly the same plot as SOUNDS OF SILENCE. As usual most of the plot revolves around two of three characters in a supposedly haunted location. It's one of those cheapies guaranteed to test the patience of even the hardiest viewer, with endless small talk and limited horror scenes which don't exactly terrify. A guy heads off to Sweden where he meets a childhood friend going out of his mind; a dark shared secret may be the reason behind his fragile mental state. There's very little here even for the purveyor of rare horror to get excited about.
